  • 3:41 ThANK GOD 4:32 .....

  • Okay, the piping under the loco an on the frame is the traction motor cables and such. Few "pipes" there. Lol and, the pipe in the wheel side frame, that would be the speed recorder.

  • ya that's true but the ditch lights burn out under a year. I have 2 Ontario Northland SD75i. they really look great but i have to replace the ditch lights now and just to let you know that the doll ditch light burns out first

  • Dude...you need some serious lessons on how to hold a camera still! Your video is very hard to watch.

  • @pcaviator687

dont be trollin, just check out my newer videos and youll see they are a bit better.

  • Another articulate thorough review from you train 9500 My Athearn Geneiss Super fleet SD75i units are to th same level of detail, with the under unit piping, smooth motors, and, shape livery ..

  • For the engine sound that we can hear at 3.55 , I ve the same problem of my Santa Fe version one , and in fact it s just cause the bend is too much bent ; It s only due to that .

  • @InBigBlockWeTrust

Hmmm, Maybe thats what it was. After running it a lot the locomotive no longer makes the sound anymore

  • BTW, thanks for the heads-up on the M.B. Kline hobby site. I now have added that to my Favorites. That's a great price on that locomotive!

  • @walkerbelle

    Glad to help

  • Great informative video, but I got a little sea-sick from the camera moving around so much, lol. I subscribed to your page & also sent you a message about the model trains. That's a great looking BNSF loco and I appreciate the info you have shared here. Merry Christmas to you & yours!

  • @walkerbelle

Yea i know, i was never really good with handling a camera like this steady. If you check out some of my newer videos you might find them a little less nauseating. I checked and responded to your email, Thanks for watching!

  • Oh, forgot to mention first time I took it out of the box two of the windshield wipers fell off, one of the air tanks fell off and the sun visors were bent. Garbage. I'll never buy another one.

  • @Primal67060

wow that sounds like a big problem, i would send it back. Athearn does not do a very good job keeping their products in good condition off the assembly line. Often times they are shipped with something broken. After the sd70ace i do not plan to buy more athearn, their quality reliability is lacking

  • That's an Athearn Genesis? I just bought one. KCS unit. It has the basic details but not air fuel and traction motor lines and cables along the frame and doesn't come with MU hose's. Mine came in the dark blue box. Haven't been able to run it but just by the details I'm not happy with it. I'm in the process of painting and adding super details from Cannon and Details West then thinking about selling it.

  • @Primal67060

Some of the older athearn genesis models did not feature these types of details, but it is strange that it has that little amount of detail. I would have expected a little bit more as well if i were you. I hope you did not pay too much for it, but im sure it will look great once youve got all the details one!

  • i like this vid....just get someone else to do your camera holding....

  • my gp60 athearn does that also in reverse. its not as noticable now but still makes it especially when i spin wheels. dont like doing that but its a little lite but want to get the sd75 at the hobby shop, its awesome and its a santa fe warbonnet

  • I found an athearn genesis sd75m at my local hobby shop and its sweet. its a santa fe red and silver warbonnet. i think its like 110 dollars. these athearns are great locos, WAY better than those bottom of the barrel bachmanns. i have a gp60 and love it.

  • Not ready for prime time

  • The lights are 1.5v micro bulbs and there is 4 bulbs in the front and 2 in the back, The one ditch light that isn't that bright wasn't focused which means the bulb wasn't turned so the element can shine bright outward.

  • M.B. Klein has some of the best prices, great staff, and a great store. I live in SoCal and was able to visit the store when I was out on the east coast in 2009

  • @espinozajos

    Yep!

  • what decoder do u have in it?

  • @iRailBNSF

Its a digitrax DH123. There are a bunch of 123's, but I just plugged mine into the 9 pin harness located inside the engine

  • ok, how do you get the ditch lights to alternate using your set-up, i have an SD60I coming and i have no sound in it as well, but do yours flash/alternate? please help me, if you want more info, please go to my channel, and look up SD60I. thanks.

  • They're not wired factory direct to have oscillating ditch lights, but if you put in a Tsunami GN-1000, there are separate ports for each one. However, it isn't prototypical for BNSF, or UP to use oscillating ditch lights.

  • is the light is in the cab/

  • @piperhalliwell2009

The light is in the top of the cab

  • is the light is in the cab

  • no, seperate bulbs

  • I thought the horn on the sound unit was pretty impressive. It sounds powerful and loud. I don't really agree with you about the sound part. Athearn recorded it from the real thing.

  • it did not come with a decoder pre-installed. however, when i was at the store they offered to install it for me.....free of charge. I chose to put it in myself. it is super easy. it is about as easy as plugging your mouse into the computer. Digitrax has a VERY easy DCC setup

  • cool u live in maryland

  • no, i live in hummesltown Pennsylvania. its about 45 minutes to one hour from there.

  • oh no Maryland about 3 hour from Pennsylvania

  • not in all cases. i live near harrisburg. which is in the southern part of PA. so it does not take too long. maryland boarders PA, and if you drive like me or my dad, it takes a LOT less than usual lol

  • oh ok lol

  • Cool! I just ordered an athearn CSX SD60 from amazon with dcc/sound. it will arrive on wednesday.

  • thanks, i just ordered mine.

  • what kind did you order? what roadname?

  • hi, do you still have to put all the detais in? cheers.

  • nope......now they make them fully assembled. the only thing i had to put on was the fuel tank.

  • Nice engine! Can it go around an 18inch radius?

  • sure can

  • they are both heritage 2 paint:)

  • ok cool i just ordered it a minute ago it has ditch lights thanks

  • what paint scheme did you order?

  • hey nice loco im getting one of those and a sd40-2 from broadway limeted. they will both have sound and dcc, also they will be bnsf because my layout is bnsf. i will post vids of it soon

  • cool....just be careful...some BLI sd40-2 have ditch lights and some dont....just be sure to get the one with ditch lights.

  • ya i have 2 of those, they r nice, i got mine both for 40 bucks each, they also pull well

  • i think im gonna get one with sound though...just to try it. although MRC sound is not very good. I cant wait until tsunami comes out

  • nice i want one

  • its a very very nice model.

  • ok you replied fast

  • lol... was watching my own video to make sure it upload good..press F5

  • oh it refreshes it thats cool but when i did that it said it was disabled so i hade to exit out of the video
