  • @yabbazabba1234 then fuck off dont watch it dick head

  • @zosozm69 GO FUCK YOURSELF!!! I'M ENTITLED TO MY OPINION YOU SCUMBAG!!!

  • @yabbazabba1234 yea go fuck your self prick

  • I love these guys...considering the primitive sound quality we had back then, these guys totally rocked!!! If I had a chance to go forward in time or back I think I'd go back...I've gotten a small glimpse of where we're going...lol...I'd much rather go back...lol...(H)

  • I'd love some of that acapulco gold!

  • boy i dont know what these people who are bashing led zeppelin live are hearing but this sounds damn good

  • I love how everyone is bitching that they don't sound anything like the studio....THAT'S THE FUCKING POINT OF SEEING THEM LIVE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • John Paul Jones was always content to stay in the shadows, wasn't he - just a no-nonsense professional musician, not a rock star. Sometimes I wish he'd have embellished his basslines a little more, he's always right there but sometimes a little bit by-the-book. But just a thought, in passing -

  • What a lovely song! Jimmy page is amazing!

  • im in awe.

i want to see this. in person.

  • plant sounds ten times better singing in a "deeper" key then he usually does on the recorded tracks. you can hear what im saying if you go to 1:51, and through the next few verses and throughout the song. this is WAYYYY better than the actual track

  • John Paul Jones is still alive.

  • Page-Hendrix-Blackmore! The best guitar in the world! Great big led Zeppelin! Yeahh!!!

  • does anyone know what scale that solo was played in?

  • its just d's amd g's

  • And a's. but then again that only leaves 4 other notes in the spectrum, doesn't it? Then there's the solo, and the beginning and end of the song that isn't simply strumming A, D, and G. Then there's the factor of the lyrical content, and the fact that before Plant's throat lymph node surgery, he was a siren. And Encyclopedia Britannica claiming Bonham the quintessential rock drummer to follow from now on. And JPJ's ability to do master several various instruments at the same time.

  • Page, Hendrix, Clapton are the 3 guitar gods.

  • your forgetting zappa, beck, bb king, satriani and vaughn

  • @mikerepmo

Aside from someone once writing "Clapton is God" on wall, I never understood people's fascination with Clapton.

I love Cream, but moreso for Jack Bruce and Ginger Baker. Layla and some of his solo stuff is good, but he just can't break my top 20 for guitarists.

  • I'm not particularly a fan of Clapton. I see where you're coming from. I think his songs are mediocre but I just like his style of guitar playing...Its so smooth like a violin.

  • Plants on vocals dumbass. Jimmy Page is on lead guitar.

  • Plant and his hand! EPIC!

  • with a pocket full of gold...alcapulco gold

ya don't get that on the radio version

  • This is my favorite Zep song. Even though I like it quiter so it kicks in later this is pretty damn good too. I love when page does the last riff. John Bonham, my favorite member, beautiful and as ever.

  • 2:44 some acupulco gold. =].

  • i agree good on album but not live, i dont know what happend to robert plants voice, but he just never seemed to be able to hit those high notes when there live. jimmy page, john bonham and john paul jones were amazing at the instruments they played wether live or on the album. anyways greatest band ever in my books. i will love them no matter what

  • I disagree; I love to see what a band can do live with their music.

  • no man they're great!!!!

  • Are you crazy i just jizzed all over my speakers...

  • Comment removed

  • And to say this is the only piece of live footage that kicks ass? Check out their Royal Albert Hall concert, and their bootlegged songs as well as How the West Was Won...

  • Are you serious?

I mean, yeah they got a little rusty near the end of Zeppelin's career, but for the most part they poured more emotion live than any other band I've seen, and I like almost every band I listen to live.

  • I´m sorry but Rush´s music is a lot simpler to play live, Zeppelin played, risked and toured so much that I´ve seen both amazing and terrible performances. I saw Robert Plant and Jimmy Page in 1995 and I still don´t understand how they did certain things. Rush is all about brains and is actually a "Show of Hands"... I´m sorry but Led Zep belongs to a higher dimension.

  • I'm sorry ... ...but would that higher dimension happen to be LSD??!! LOL!! Coz ladies and gents your gonna need quite a few hits to stay awake and watch 'The Song Remains the Same!' LMFAO!!!

  • @yabbazabba1234... I feel an overdoze of "morality" in your latest comments, I suppose I´ll go for LSD then ha,ha,ha!!!! Besides I thought we were talking about music. I´ll go back to you when musicians start being tested for using "prohibited substances"... go home and listen to some Rush album.

  • lISTEN TO rush!!? hELL THEY'RE SUCKIN MAJOR ASS THESE DAYS!!!!! LISTEN... PICK UP 'WOLFMOTHER' THEY'RE AWESOME THEY SOUND JUST LIKE THE MC5 BUT BETTER!! i RESPECT YOU MAN!! LIKE I SAID! NOT HERE TO MAKE ENEMIES! JUST NEW FRIENDS!! PEACE!

  • That´s great attitude!! I also respect you after all that kind of controversy... I´ve listened to some Wolfmother but I´ll pay more attention to them. Peace too!!

  • Rush??? How can you compare souless Rush to Zeppelin? I'm sick of all you sudo intellects thinking that Rush was so great just because they use a lot of big words in their lyrics and Peart has so many drums. Zeppelin was imagitive, and original. Plus they could groove like no other rock band, They played with feeling unlike Rush who sound like their about to fall asleep.

  • Hey "zep1" you should have read carefully, although I like Rush I was saying Led Zep were a lot more soulful, and simply belonged to a higher hierarchy. So if you´re sick of pseudo intellectuals, then I´m sick of the people who can barely read.

  • @yabbazabba1234 They covered songs and did tributes to those blues gods, and often plant droned on about how much he loved them telling others to listen to them. Get your facts straight and watch the footage. Plant had throat surgery, and LATER in the 70's there were bad performances from Page because of heroine. but if you check their tour dates, they played almost every day for 11 years on the road. Many times 2 shows in 2 countries on the same day. They were amazing.

  • FUCK YOU this video is proof they were AWESOME LIVE and WITHOUT BLUES THERE IS NO ROCK OR METAL. Now stop using allcaps and please stop pretending your the smartest person on the internet cause your just one more douchebag who thinks he's important.

  • @yabbazabba1234 dude all songs are a rip off of another songs there are only so many chord progressions and scales, its all about how you use em. and btw you forgot to mention their bluegrass style that was incorpporated. i think you're the only person ever that doesnt believe led zeplin was at least awesome and prolly the best for their time.

  • the performances on the song remains the same arent there only performances there are many others on tape that are very good

  • i love this.

  • Best Band Ever.

  • The solo is awesome in this version

  • increible!!!

    lo mejor

  • why is he not singing high?! that makes it so much better jumping into that one part after the intro. i have yet to find one live where he does.i would be verydissapointed if i went to see them and he didnt.

  • and thats the difference between live shows and studio recordings.

  • haha i can tell. if i was there i would at least like to see him attempt it. i do like the acapulco gold part tho!

  • haha; right on!!

  • acapulco gold YEAAAHHHHHZZZZZ

  • This is music by the Gods for mortals who feel like Gods? when they listen to it.

    smoke? it...............

  • Is this in the Royal Albert Hall?

  • Madison Square Garden, 1973.

  • thanks a lot - great concert!

  • HOW THE WEST WAS WON!!!

  • incredible, The best band that has never existed

  • showed me how to love

  • acapulco gold

  • this was the first led zeppelin song i learned how to play, this was about 5 years back... I was a fifth grader =]

  • this song is sooooooooooooooo greate

  • zeppelin is god.....maybe, god dont strike me down!

  • ♥

  • wow guy.....

  • shows what u know...

  • Acapulco gold every time!!! I don't recall this on my vinyl...ololol

  • I really really want to see them live... but they quit before I was even born (1996)

  • I wouldn't say quit, more like broke up when Bonzo died. But yes, seeing them live would be amazing! :)

  • The only time they played my country,I was 4 years old!.

I don't actually feel like I have missed out on anything now though.

I have the records, and I now have these wonderful clips from youtube!.

  • Jimmy Page in the beginning is amazing!

  • i say the whole thing but true

  • Shame that I'll never be able to see my favorite band in concert.

    *sheds a tear* :'(

  • "This is a song about...uh...I suppose it's about you, and me...and everybody"

Haha. I think Robert thought to himself "Wait, what the hell is this song about"?

  • shame it's not in the actual movie.

  • OMFG I'm DROOLING over Robert Plant

  • Zeppelin would pwn the fuck out the jonas in a guitar battle!

Zeppelin Rocks, and the only ones to master it.

    \m/ \m/

  • does it even need to be said that led zeppelin would win jonas brothers in a guitar contest? duhh... seems like a stupid thing to say...

  • Awesome!!!!

  • Is there a better band than Led ?????

    NOOOO :D

  • DAmn..........Robert Plant was sooo hot!

  • My first Zep gig (2/7/75) they lads did a fantastic Over The Hills... extremely powerful! After almost 35 years, no band has come close to Led Zep.

  • So fuckin' true!!

  • led zeppelin is the reason why Im slowly getting through my recent break up

  • same

  • Like the way Plant sang this version differently. (Some muso please describe it technically). Maybe he was dogging the high notes of the original cut but it's massive anyway.

  • Zeppelin is the greatest rock band ever, wish I got to see them live those people are so lucky

  • this is my favorite Led Zeppelin song but his guitar sounds out of tune. could just be me and not being negative but just sounds off

  • unbelievable!!!!

  • Zeppelin is the greatest band of all time im 15 saying that btw over the hills is fucking awsome 5 star

  • Jimmy just RAPING that Les Paul!! FUCK YEAH!!! And then John pounding those skins like a red headed stepchild!!! ZEPPELIN GREATEST BAND EEEEEEEEEVER!!! I dont care what ANYONE SAYS!!!!!!!!

  • Back when Acapulco Gold actually meant something....Plant refers to it 2:46 LOLOL these were great

  • even when hes just standing there at the beginning, page has some magic about him

  • Amazing!

  • is there a better band?

  • no there is not

  • Led Zeppelin are like cake. They're great and everyone loves them!

  • HAHAHA greatest analogy ever created about anything. kudos to u sir or mam.

  • Jaw dropping Jimmy Page is/was such a master. Charlie Watts was right on about his comments on Bonham...what a drummer he was!

It's been suggested by some that this band 'plodded' and didn't swing which is so much ignorant bullshit. The Wayne Gretzky's of hard rock.

  • plant needs more energy he sounds a lot better in the studio version but page is amazing both ways

  • 1:19 lol

hes like wtf is the next verse!

  • jimmy page wiring tech in full effect there

  • figured jimmy would bust out the acoustic

  • This is AWESOME. Shame about the flick...

  • Page is wearing the wizard chaps which have to be the best statement about his playing abilities and intrisic 'interestingness' imaginable. I am so grateful to my older brother for immersing me in this music - well, constantly and at a high volume-as a kid I just can't tell you.

  • I'm not sure why,but this track is my favourite- just can't get enough of it. I love these clips too I know it should be all about the music, but how does Plant manage to wear a little baby blue top with tiny puffed sleeves and long curly hair and look so masculine that the testosterone is leaping out of the screen?

  • i wish i lived in the 70s! :(

    i was born in 94 :P

zep is my fav!! up there with the beatles!

  • dude.. I think we're the same person! I'm born in 94 too and zep and the beatles are my faves! along with pink floyd!

  • hahah me too except im 93 and im a girl (:

  • You and I have the same favorite bands lol. I was born a year earlier though haha.

  • oassis whatch n learn.the masterclass.

  • amazing that was awsome nothing beats zeppelin john looked really happy when he finally got to those drums

  • some fuckin awesome song and so is Jimmy Page!

  • i love led zepplin

  • I want Plant's hair..... amazing as always..

  • I actually had hair like him^^

But I went to a barber to make it thinner. When she was done i looked like Randy Rhoads. I literally cried when I came home. But that was almost a year ago. Now I got fuckin' Chewbacca on my head again ;)

  • Just keep an eye on any critters that may be seeking shelter.. :-)

Ya know, only Plant could get away with a sissy looking shirt...and still look good

  • jimmy page is just fuckin awesome at solos writing songs riffs everything that has to do with guitar, my hero

  • a well written song (just like all the others) and performed like true gods

    john bonham RIP

  • My God this is the first time i have seen this footage of my favourite Zep song AWSOME!!!!!!

  • i cant believe how these normal 70s rockers put up a show no-one today, with all this technolagy can put up a better show...?!??!?!?!?

    led zep rocks

  • bonham 3:34 sick!!!!!!

  • And Phat!

  • My favorite Zeppelin tune of all time.

  • poor jpj's face is covered, he deserves more light

  • Estupidos e unicos!!!!!Copiar é simples,quero ver criar coisa tão extraordinaria!!!!!!Eternamente Led Zeppelin!

  • WOW.

  • this intro always makes me want to jump around and celebrate. it reigns over all.

  • Even if Plant's throat was sore, Page's fingers were cramped; or if the entire band was having an off-night, they'd sound way better than many of the bands we suffer though today.

  • So true

  • this is a great song

  • Love how JPJ always stays back where nobody can see him.

  • i fucken love the guitar

  • thanx

  • To see Zep in concert was a highlight of my life. The 76/77 North American tour was awesome. They were one of the first bands to use laser lights in their shows during that tour but the real show was their Presence (no pun intended of course). The chemistry of these 4 guys can never be replicated. Their diverse musical backgrounds is why their music is timeless & still popular today.

  • Dam this is good stuff. Where can I get this video? On DVD?

  • It's available on The Led Zeppelin DVD/Video

  • 1973 right?

  • Happy Birthday Robert Plant! No one is going to sing like him, EVER! I love Zeppelin, wish I could have seen this live(: THIS IS ICONIC!♫

  • something was unleashed when these guys got together, u can tell by the way jimmy plays, hes not forcing n e thing, doesnt even look at the guitar

  • Happy Birthday Robert!

  • Why was this not in the main feature on "Song remains the Same"!!!

  • damnit robert why wont u sing the song?!?!?!

  • Amen.

  • i would give my right nut to be as musically gifted as jimmy page! my hell his music is so awesome

  • jonas who? good god how can u compare an imitater to the original.!? ZEP IS THE BEST. EXCEPT IT

  • the jonas brothers are a horrible band they make money for screeching randomly led zeppelin is a great band for people that dont like to watch random screeching bad music overall though jonas brothers kicks ass if you like horrible disgusting music

  • please tell me your kidding

  • ...so kidding!

  • 'Blow' being the operative word with the Jonas Brothers. I have spammed you to protect you from being murdered by a load of angry zep fans.

  • ...my post was such a joke!!! just wanted to se if anybody wuz paying attention....now I go and light a candle ath the alter of Bohnam.

  • Good...

  • Why do always Jonas Brothers fans bother on Zeppelin video pages? What do these bands even have in common? Get the fuck outta here!

  • well this is how big jonas brothers want to be. never going to happen!!!!!!!!!!!

    zeppelin rock

  • dude jonas are like so trash. We cant compare them with zep. Neither with any band. We cant even call them a band lol. Thats like a backstreet boys wanna be.

  • lol :P

  • jonas brothers will pass, when the die or age lose there look sdo you think people will reminisce about how good there tunes were? no there music is complte garbage, zepp is classic. LedHead4life :)
