Is that Earl's son Randy on Doc's left? Is Doc's son Merle on Earl's right? If not, who are they? I need to check out the long video. Glad you posted it! I LOVE YouTube!
hey guys, fans of Doc Watson should definitely check out Kent Gustavson's new book, "Blind But Now I See, The Biography of Music Legend Doc Watson " @ his Facebook page, "Doc Watson Book".
you must get my first bluegrass doc Bluegrass Roots- really a classic made by me when I was 20 years old in 1964. Especially hear the fiddler Lost John....
The kid is Earl's nephew. He was just beginning. He went on to become a top professional. It was amazing how many of Earl's relatives Earl brought up in the music business. Bringing up a kid to play a stringed instrument was a part of Earl's basic character and culture. It would have been lucky for any of us music lovers to have grown up in that family
