  • Oh man what a good find. Ace and Eric were great for Kiss.

  • in this demo the guitar parts sound much cooler than in Carr Jam 1981 :D

  • this is breakout

  • Wow! This is awesome!!!!

  • Thank you for sharing that, it's very raw. .... imagine if this were finished?! I don't think Ace reached nearly the potential of his talent, not even slightly. His creative period was "white hot" .... imagine if their had been more sustained episodes of sobriety ........ Still awesome though!

  • Ace Frehley and Eric Carr should have become a band. it would have rocked.

  • this sucks. it was clear they were out of good songs by this time.

  • @rizzlaxl totally,.

  • @rizzlaxl Eric was always writing good stuff. Imagine if this was finished. Then it'd be amazing.

  • Ace and Erics relationship was like Ace's close relationship with peter gd friends

  • To everyone that keeps saying this is "Carr Jam 1981" or Ace Frehley "Breakout", your right, but this particular version was called "Heaven" on a bootleg demo. People need to get their facts straight. And if you need the proof, I have the actual vinyl copy of it. It is from 1981 and this just happens to be the bootleg version of it.

  • my brothers freind's mom dated ace frehley

  • two guys and... the really rock'n'roll

  • My take on Ace vs. Bruce for this piece. I have yet to come across any demo of this piece that has Ace playing any leads on it. I know of only 2 takes that have been circulating, and neither have any leads on them, just riff. The other one, besides this one, has a different drum solo than on Carr Jam. The Bruce overdub on Carr Jam included leads. So Bruce didn't replace any of Ace's solos, since as far as I can tell, Ace dind't record any solos for this piece in the Elder sessions. Got it?

  • And not only that, but I'd love to know how many of you were around when this song was entitled "Heaven"....how the hell knows WHAT they called it, since there's no official record of what the piece was called in demo form. Just like "Raita" and "Council Of The Elder", these titles have no bearing on what they could have been, it's just some idiot's guess that got stuck to it over endless bootlegging. Think for a moment people...

  • thats not heaven it breakout

  • R.I.P ERIC

  • This was the raw form

  • Some of these parts, are included on CARR JAM 1981.

  • wonder what my neighboors thinks about good riffs.............

  • these are real simple but killer riffs

  • Rough version of Comets Breakout...sounds good but rough! love it!

  • @evilunixuser1 his show would make him look like that, coz its his show. the real gene is not a nice guy. i met him after a show in may at a meet and greet, and asked him about what he thought about anomaly, and he just said ace is nothing without kiss. what a jerk. its the other way around!

  • @MarshallDawn anomaly kicks sonic boom in the vagina

  • @Atreyufolife lol! so true!

  • The best Rock-n-Roll Fox ever! ;]

  • Early version of"breakout "from frehleys comet..

  • Made by the lease selfish ppl in kiss :D

  • @Atreyufolife thats not true, Paul didn't help make it.

  • @SuperJewTV1 paul is not that generous nor does put other ppl b4 himself

  • @Atreyufolife yes he does, u just don't like Paul for the same reason u guys don't like Gene, CUZ THEY NEVER LEFT KISS, OR WERE KICKED OUT OF KISS!!!! PETER WAS KICKED OUT, IT WAS A UNANIMOUS DECISION BY GENE, PAUL, AND ACE AND THEN 2 YEARS LATER ACE DIDN'T WANNA BE WITH KISS ANYMORE SO HE LEFT!!! IT WAS PRETTY MUCH THE SAME SITUATION THE 2ND TIME TOO!!!!

  • @Atreyufolife - Well, from what I see in Gene's t.v. show, Gene is a fantastic guy who is always giving back in one way or another. Not always a monetary giveback, but he does things he doesn't have to by law, but from his heart.

  • @SuperJewTV1 actually thats not the reason i don like him him and gene r selfish jews who dont put much energy in their show like ace does

  • @Atreyufolife they put more into the shows than Ace did. And on the records, Ace didn't even play a lot of the songs because he was wasted or wasn't there. Paul and Gene created almost everything in KISS, so they're always have been more important. And Ace chose to leave he didn't wanna be with KISS anymore the 1st time cuz Peter wasn't there and he was always outvoted, and the 2nd time cuz he thought they were retiring.

  • @SuperJewTV1 Hahah biased a bit are we. Ace frehleys kiss songs are the strongest hands down the most telented member in kiss. Why dont u keep eating gene simmons calk.

  • R.I.P ERIC YOU WAS THE BEST DRUMMER OF ALL TIME MISS U

  • You're right except Vinnie was not let go because he played fast. He was let go because he wasn't satisfied with being a hired hand when writing 90% of the material for the albums. The "Lick It Up" album is a vinnie vincent album, remove Vinnie from this album and this album would never had existed. He is a much better writer than he is a guitarist and he should have been as such but he wasn't.

  • two retarded guys has seen this vid and 133 cool guys has seen this vid thumbs up if u agree

  • Gene is not the ***hole that people think he is.He is portraying the rock star image to the public to the hilt.if you would take time to watch him on family jewels, you will see when he is with his family in their home that he lets down his rock star personna and acts as normal as any of the rest of us.He is a very intelligent man, speaks five languages fluently and is currently learning Mandarin Chinese. He has never drank nor smoked nor done drugs. He's a lot better of a man than most losers.

  • @thecoolestdad You're absolutely right, cause reality TV definitely would portray him negatively, since you know, its real. not scripted at all. just reality.

  • @thecoolestdad You're absolutely right, cause reality TV definitely would ever portray him negatively, he's just 100% not greedy, since you know, its real. not scripted at all. just reality.

  • It's hard to be a KISS fan because Gene is such an ass hole greedy bastard.

  • @tomcat13claws 1st of all hes not an asshole. thats just the attitude he portrays to the world. and 2nd focus on Paul Stanley, the greatest member of KISS ever.

  • If you trust what Gene says then you'll believe anything. Vinnie is a great song writer but Gene has a problem with anyone who is better than he is. So I'm sure he fabricated a story to justify firing Vinnie as he did with everyone else.

  • @Whoor I personally never liked Vinnie Vincent in KISS.He just didn't fit.Yeah,he nay be fast as lightning on the guitar, but fast is not everything.Watch the second Eddie and the Cruisers movie, where Eddie(aka Joe West),in the 2nd movie when he is auditioning for another band during that time frame.he told the little hot-shot kid guitarist that flash is not everything. You gotta play with feeling. So Eddie(Joe) showed him what he meant,he got it.Vinnie didn't get it.So he was let go.

  • eric eres el baterista chingonsisimo we eres la vrega y tu tambien ace att:david

  • People still fail to realize that Gene & Paul are selfish...they'd rather fail than to share the spotlight with anyone. All Eric wanted to do was write and sing his own songs which Gene & Paul refused to do. This is why Vinnie Vincent was fired from KISS.

  • @Whoor was vinnie not fired for a drug addiction or am i thinking of someone else

  • actually "Breakout" by Frehley's Comet was released before "Carr Jam 1981" in Kiss, this recording actually shows why

  • heyy this song is on revenge and his name is carr jam 1981

  • It's actually called carr jam 1981

  • BlarmyArmy07 said true

  • This Is The Riff Idea That Eventually Turned Into Breakout...The Riff Is Just Played On Carr Jam '91 For An Intro To The Drum Solo...

  • all these songs sound like breakout

  • This is Carr Jam 1991

  • @poibran1 No it's not Carr Jam 1991.

  • @poibran1

no it's not, carr jam was made using heaven demo, they deleted ace's guitars and bruce re-recorded them. They also deleted Ace's writing credits.

Ace did his own version with Frehley's Comet called Breakout, by the way, Ace did not erase Eric's name in the Breakout credits.

  • riff SPACE ACE

  • This was the first cut of what would eventually become Breakout on the first Frehley's Comet album and Carr Jam 81 on the Revenge album. It was recorded during the elder sessions and I believe it went unfinished for release. Ace completed it with vocals during his first solo album, but Gene and Paul wouldn't let eric participate in that. Gene and Paul released the entire version after Erics death in 1991 with the extended drum solo in between and Bruce Kulick overdubbing Ace's lead guitar parts

  • @drugssuck1991

Why would anyone overdub Ace Frehley's guitar playing with Bruce Kulick? Granted Bruce is a good guitar player, but he's no Ace Frehley. Someone dropped the ball on that decision.

  • @riverlioness My guess is that Bruce was in Kiss at the time and Ace wasn't. Gene and Paul did their best to distance the past from the present in the early 90's. Even though Ace and Eric were friends, Bruce and Eric were best friends and Gene and Paul probably felt Bruce could pay tribute to Eric better because it met Kiss standards at the time. It's a decision that could have gone either way and done well. Bottom line is that if Ace was in the band, he would have done the solo. My opinion.

  • @riverlioness Bruce is a FAR better player than Ace. I have seen them both perform in concert and Bruce was easily the best guitarist Kiss ever had.

  • @DiamondDEK i beg to differ

  • @Atreyufolife Different strokes...

  • 0:58 from the "is that you?" video! :)

  • @crafter99983 it is from I Love it Loud

  • maybe this is where the guitar came from in Carr Jam sounds great

  • It is Carr Jam 81, bruce kulick just rerecorded the guitar part on revenger

  • It's a cool demo.

  • isnt this breakout?

  • @mavelusbr Yes it is but with a different title.

  • TXNXZ A LOT 4 SHARE!!!!!!

  • poep

  • Peter sounds great here! I can't believe that Eric Carr tried to kill him. The cat has nine lives and cannot be killed by a fox.

  • Eric Carr never tried to kill anybody, and this isn't Peter, it's Eric.....

  • @MrSkulleyes

what the hell are you talking about???????

  • @petercriscuola

PeterCriss cocaine. Fox fight, killed by gene&paul. Peter now drums for the hottest band in the world!!!

The cats9 lives always defeat the fox!!!!!

Are you the real peter criss????

  • @MrSkulleyes

    what??????

  • @petercriscuola

Sleeping with the Milkman. Peter Criss will always live behind the drums in KISS!!! Cat is #1 as Jesus said in the bible: "Thou Shall Peter Thine Criss!!!"

  • @MrSkulleyes , from what I have read of your posts, they make no sense. First of all, Eric Carr sadly passed away of cancer on November, 24 1991. Secondly, he didn't harm anybody. I don't understand your reference with Peter Criss and the bibical text, and I really don't understand your nonsense posts on here. Please, show Eric Carr some respect.

  • @emiltron77 Glad to see you've stopped masturbating long enough to be able to type a comment. In response, let me say this:

Eric Fox Carr's drum drum sing sing fox fox. Peter Criss cat cat cocaine sniff sniff. Jesus' bilble clearly states "thou shall not" to quote Gene Simmons. At least Eric Carr can wear make up and play at the same time. Long live the fox!!!

  • LOOOOOOVED IT! R.I.P. THE FOX.

  • it is breakout just mixeed on it when they put it on the alnum in 87

  • R.I.P Eric Carr aka the Fox

  • Eric Carr wanted to tour with Ace Frehley. They became really great friends. But first of all Stanley/Simmons were against it and then he got sick..unfortunately!

  • yeh flagman i like this version

  • Sounds like "Breakout" by Frehley's Comet.

  • what the **** WOW?????

  • this song is used twice.

in 1987on the album Frehley's Comet of Ace Frehley, under the Title: Breakout.

and later in 1992 on the Revenge album of Kiss under the tiltle: Carrjam.

  • This is the original version of the song that ended up becoming "Carr Jam 81"

Sounds good like this than the Revenge version, a lot more real and not over-dubbed and tampered with like the Revenge version.

    Thanks for posting!

    cffenterview / carrzkiss

  • sounds like breakout

  • Damn, that's what I said!

  • This is the coolist Ace realy was a much better musician than KISS or even he gave himself credit for.

  • Sure this is not Carr jam ?

  • is it!

  • it has the same melody to carr jam 1981 but bruce's guitar part was dubbed over ace part. then they added a drum solo in there as a tribute to eric because he died.

  • this is a great song

  • Cool...

  • This is not "Heaven" it is the music to "Carr Jam '81" on KISS' Revenge album. It is also the same music on Breakout on various Ace Frehley albums.

  • iT iss the same music, but Heaven was its name wheen eric and ace wrote it. iT was its name wwhen it was in demo status.

  • @Rizulin

When this was recorded the songs name was Heaven, when Ace recorded it for real with Frehley's Comet he changed the title to Breakout.

  • @Rizulin This was called Heaven at first but it was droped from the Elder record. It was suposed to be an intrumental but Bob Ezerin thought it was TOO HEAVY. KISS DOING A SONG THAT IS TOO HEAVY?

  • @Rizulin Or "Breakout" by Ace Frehley

  • Comment removed

  • @Rizulin Whoops. Sorry, didnt read the rest of the comment. My mistake

  • This sounds like Anton Fig's drumming to me, not Eric's.

  • This is the riff written by Eric that Ace used for Breakout on his first solo album and changed a few parts and added lyrics and stuff like that. KISS then used a different take of the demo for Revenge for Carr Jam 1981 as a tribute to Eric with Bruce's guitar dubbed over Ace's. I think this is the ORIGINAL demo.

  • No dude Ace did the first cut & it was never added to anything later when it went on Revenge Bruse did the guitar for it. If you look somewhere on here you can find a 9 part tribute Eric & Bruce talks about doing it.

  • i have that on ma phone 'n' it's mint with head-forns in u should try it but mint has a drum solo in it. it rocks!!!!!!.love ya pic of Eirc Carr 'n' Ace Frehley.x

  • it is carr jam they put it on revenge and it was recorded in the early 80's

  • please, does anybody have the tabs for this?

    i need it!!!!

  • Look for Breakout by Ace if you want tabs.

  • The song is actually very simple. just use your ears to find those notes, and there are only a few chords.

  • true, very simple, but Ace & Eric did it, thats why its way cooler than if Dick & Harry from South Main Street did it the exact same way

  • What the hell was Gene thinking by not letting Carr perform this as Breakout or what ever Erics voice would have been perfect for Breakout!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • just gene being the power crazy freak that he is

  • spokky - it was a Demo Ace & Eric did

it was just an instrumental. Ace used it on his 87 release frehleys comet. instead of having Eric redo Beth in 88 they should have used some of Erics other songs for lps/Tapes

  • @SPOOKYSINNER2K9 - Breakout was later written by Frehley with some parts from Heaven

  • BEST RIFFS EVER!!!!!!!!

  • two genial persons and musicians.....

    no words to decribe it

  • for me the best kiss was the first and authrntic one...that kiss with peter, ace , gene and paul was the best band of the 70's..now kiss is also good but not as in the first period..

  • This is Carr Jam, aka Heaven, and its a first tryout of "Breakout". There are 2 versions, one with Ace solos, one without. On the seond, they putted on Bruce's licks.

  • In CARR JAM 1981, ACE'S SOLOS WERE REMOVED AND CUT IN BRUCE'S LEADS IN IT.

  • yes its the eric carr jam isn't it?

  • Yes this is Break Out

Look for Break out will show Anton fig an old drummer from ace frehley´s band

  • the song eventually became "Breakout"

  • someone should release this officially

  • fuckin AWESOME...Ace and Eric- two of my heores!

  • This sounds like "Carr Jam´91" from the REVENGE album

  • uhhh...no shit...it is...and became what Ace eventually recorded as Breakout...

  • its "Carr Jam 1981" not 91

  • This is the riff to the song "Breakout" from Ace Frehley's second solo album "Frehleys Comet". Great song! Miss Ace in KISS and Carr aswell. Freaking good drummer.

  • eric carr halls ass

  • @Whangy2244 it´s a demo, kiddo...

  • no, i meant ace remake the song for eric carr

  • the riff is cool..kind of slow but still new york groovin..i wish Eric still lived to get his place back in KISS..no disrespect to Eric Singer or Peter Criss..but Eric was the coolest person i have ever met..

  • actually breakout was tribute song for eric carr

  • how could Eric Make a tribute song for himself?

  • no he`s not - hope he will finish the latest album projekt he´s been working on and off for now so long before he does ha ha

  • don´t joke about the death of my idol!

  • Awesome, but Ace is not Dead!

  • they allow coucil of the elder on the album but not this song?

  • Ace Frehley Alive! watch you Frehley live 2008!

  • HEY!Whats up the idea!Ace Frehley is not dead!

  • It is CARR JAM. Nobody at the time could put words with it. Then ACE in 1987 turned it into BREAKOUT. Im comin after you, breakout I say are love is over to. It ROCKS!

  • That is Ace, you can tell by the guitar tone and sound.. Heaven is the original title... It later appeared as Breakout.... The version on the Revenge album is a totally different recording, you can tell this isnt the version that appeared on Revenge a million miles away...

  • Agreed. But ahrd to tell if this is Ace or Paul. But this IS a different take than what wound up on Revenge. Furthermore, I have yet to run across anything in demo form that has any leads by Ace on it. Bruce is the only one I know of to have any leads on this song, other than Ace on Breakout. There is another really bad recording of yet another take with a different drum solo than what's on Revenge that's floating around the demo circles.

  • I have the other take of this demo on my channel if interested.

  • OK let's get one thing straight -- on Carr Jam 1981, Bruce Kulick's overdubs were leads on top of the basic track. I have yet to hear a demo of this song with any "leads" played by Ace. My thought is Ace didnt' record any solos for the original demo. it sounds like both Ace and Paul are playing the same part on the demos, but you don't hear any of Ace in the mix on Revenge. Remember, these are all rehearsal tapes, not finished product. Some tend to forget that.

  • Not to take away from Bruce but I think his style killed that version of Carr Jam 81 (aka Breakout) and I think they should have put the original version on it, solo or not.

  • this is real version, but bruce kulick play new guitar clip into the revenge.

  • Ace even introduces Breakout sometimes at his shows that he made it with Eric...

  • this song was always called breakout even from the beginning-original demo recorded at ace in the hole studio which was in ace's basement-on the revenge album that had bruce kulick overdub aces guitar parts-I have the original demos from those recording sessions-there are 8 other tracks from those sessions-really good hard rock stuff-but they did the elder instead-Go fiqure we all screw up

  • This track was dropped from the Eldar because of the lack of lyrics.. It was recorded at the same time they were demoing the Eldar tracks.. I got them too..

  • It was a demo they started together, Ace later released it and called it Breakout, and it was reworked and re-released as Carr Jam on Revenge. This version was recorded at Ace's studio during the Elder sessions

    :o)

  • Your answer is short and clear RokDAWG1. THX!!

  • Very True!!!!! ;)

  • of of the few ppl posting shit that know what the hell they are talkin about. rock on bro

  • It was also on Ace's 1st solo album after leaving KISS retitled as "Breakout"

  • yeah

  • I agree with acefr3hl3y it sounds just like carr jamm.

  • =D

It is a demo from carr jam

    you get it? =D

  • @Kisswilrockforever

This is actually because Carr Jam '81 was just a jam with Eric Carr recorded in 1981, maybe Eric was even still auditioning. The name of the song is three words but it says it all!

  • @panterafan12345 thats because it is the ruff cut of carr jam

  • AWESOME!!!

  • cool! so this turned into breakout thats awsome!

  • Yeah bacause this is a demo ^^

  • sounds like Eric Carr Jam,last track on Revenge album...RIP
