  • I was so in love with all three girls.....never could figure out who was the hotest....We did your PA sound work for you guys a couple times while you played around chicago rock clubs out of Roselle music....OMG bring these days back PLEASE!~

  • My dad played keys for Tantrum! Phil Balsano check that shit out.

  • @maaximo ...... Could you please ask him which one of the girls in the pic at :22 in this vid sang "Applaud The Winner" ? ....... never was sure and have been curious for about 30 years...lol.... which one is he in the pic also ?

  • Is this band American, Canadian or British? It's very rare to see a rock band w/2 (let alone 3) women & 3 or 4 guys playing together - this is unless you're Heart, B-52s or Human League. I wouldn't even dignify the latter as rock. Oh yeah there's Abba too but that ain't rock. Why didn't this band make it big?

  • @bucky468 They are American, from Chicago... Huge draws on the Chicago Bar Circuit in the late 70's, along with Trillion, Europe, The Boyzz, The Pearl Handle Band, and Survivor among others. Lots of fun back then...

  • Attention Tantrum fans - according to the Renaissance Records home page this album is gonna be one of the label's classic rock reissues. The site is located at cdthen(dot)net.

This album only made it to #199 on the Billboard albums charts right when disco was burning up the charts. What a shame b/c this song rocks!!

  • Hi, I'm in the uk, and I won this album at a carnival fair!!! It has hardly been off my turntable since. I love every song, and recently discovered the 2nd lp. Where are these great musicians now? Thanks for this!!!

  • the guitarist is my guitar teacher :D

  • I was working as a cop in Glenwood IL when next door Lynwood called us to assist with crowd control at the Point East, and this band was on stage playing this song which has been in my head for 29 years...thanks for posting and I'm glad I finally found out who Tantrum is! Oh, and I was there another time for the infamous Steve Dahl meltdown at Point East...oh what a time we had at Point East, it's now all gone!

  • These guys ROCKED! So glad Escape Music released their whole catalog on cd - including the un-realeased 3rd album, "Breaking Away"!!! I'd been searching for that album literally for DECADES, and to finally get it & it's so GOOD! Yee-Haaa!

  • I had the 8 track of this album in high school and wore it out !!! Always wondered what happened to Tantrum. I got more into the new wave/British invasion and punk scene as the 80s carried on....

  • I saw you guys play this at the Hometown concert in Chicago circa 1980. Steve Dahl and Teenage Radation was there doing their "Ayatollah" to the tune of My Charona, as I recall.
