That's completely relative. Just because something's older doesn't mean it's worth any less now than it was then.

You narrow-minded types with your absolute views on what 'others' should or shouldn't like are really baffling to me. I guess the concept of "people like different things" completely eludes you?

It might be hard for you to believe, but we're not all sheep to a style of music simply because it's the "new thing"; being like that doesn't even make any sense to me.

I think you are misinterpreting me, because I see value in stuff regardless of age. BUT I also believe in quality and timelessness versus trendy in music. EG: although most of Fadgadget or Cabaret Voltaire is dated, a few songs are timeless in execution and amazing.

I was sticking up for this version because of the narrow-mindedness of purests who derided this updated version unfairly, and don't see anywhere where I told people what to do or like.

BTW, being insulting doesn't help either.

I was being insulting because of the fact that you act as thought people should "move on" simply because you feel that this music is dated. I don't see how I, or anyone else, could have interpreted that any differently.

Besides, like I said, "dated" is a relative term and since we have no way in knowing which characteristics you deem as dated, there's not really any point in saying it. You either like a song, or you don't - age means nothing when it comes to music/art.
