Obama's approval ratings are in the mid to low 50s. The same as Bush's at the same point in his Presidency.
As to the WMDs, several prominent Democrats, such as Joe Biden, who were granted access to all intelligence that Bush had access to, also stated that Iraq had WMDs. In fact, in an interview a couple of years ago, Biden was asked about his support of the war and he stated that governments all over the world confirmed the WMD info. So it wasn't just the US government.

What a joke. Are you joking? UNWRA, the agency that the aid is going to, employs a ton of Hamas members, including some of their senior leaders. For example, Sheik Ahmed Yassin, the man who founded Hamas and has been immortalized by it, worked for UNRWA from 1967 to 1994. The article is right. The check is being made out to UNRWA, not Hamas. But Hamas has infilitrated the group the money is going to to a great degree , so effectively, it is the same as giving it directly to Hamas.

Can you phathom the US government having a series of checks and balances before they give the Palestinian authority aid in the form of food and money for reconstruction? i.e. Food won't miraculously turn into Missles. Yes. And the UN did such a great job keeping the Iraqi oil for food program running properly. In case you hadn't noticed, the UN is corrupt.
The Palestinian Authority is also extremely corrupt and full of Hamas agents. So, some of the money undoubtly will get siphoned off for weapons and promotion of jihad. Considering that Obama's people have been in touch with Hamas both before and after the election, and Hamas supporters sent his campaign at least $30k, I wouldn't keep my hopes up.

I voted Liberatarian in 2004. You liberals have a habit of forgetting things. You forget that Clinton was the first to state that Iraq had WMDs. You forgot Joe Biden and other Democrats called for military action against Iraq before Bush was elected (in 1999). Biden even put together a draft resolution, before Bush's resolution was introduced into congress, recommending that Bush take military action against Iraq.
Whatever Bush is or isn't, he looks like a genius compared to Obama.

Obama has already spent far more on useless junk, like the stimulus plan, than several times the cost of both the war in Iraq and Afghanistan combined.
