wow. an open casting call for such a huge role for such a big movie with such a great director comes along liek maybe once every 7 or 8 years. craziness.

open casting is usually like "guy in background at mall".

of course the 7-8 number is totally made up but it's a once in a blue moon. probably because it was just an awkward unique role.

the casting director sends out a breakdown for the script to talent agencies, and agents will try to match their clients with roles and set up auditions from there.

after months of auditions they still couldn't find the right person for Fogell so they held an open casting call where people without representation show up.
