I feel really bad for Frederick. He was a Nazi who didn't like Hitler's ways, and even so, I would have given him a chance if he was in love with me. The funniest part was when Shoshanna asked Frederick to close the door for "privacy" and his face lit up. Too funny
i am looking for a wonderful song from IB. it's actually "whistling" that goes like : from a very low pitch, goes up, up, up, to reach a very high pitch, and then goes back down to the low pitch. anyone has an idea ?
@TheSpinachChin that's it ! thank so MUCH, i had just given up researches. it's from kill bill, not inglorious basterds, that's why i couldn't find it i guess. thanks again.
@xXIslandOfWonderXx You have completely missed the point of Zoller's character. He's a normal human, he only killed because it was either him or them, and most people in a war situation would not value the other side's soldiers abovehis own life. He was no more likely to rape her than any other person.
I personally thought Shosanna was a bitch to Fredrick. If you see for yourself in the film Fredrick didn't like the massacre he did and had a film about him. Fredrick was just really hurt by Shosanna's rejections and judging him just because he's German.
Have you not felt like that before where someone is rude to you after you did so much for that person? Fredrick may have overreacted which is wrong so they are as bad as each other in a way if you think about it.
You know what would have made this scene better? If Hans Landa just popped his head in out of nowhere for no reason and left. LOL Anything with him in it is great. xD
it was sad but still a great scene. like the rest in the whole movie.. in my opinion anyway. didnt he give her a pitty shot after he shot her in the gut like five times? she was like... suffering and then he shot her in the head to stop it? or am i the only one who thought that?
@1awareness It's a tragic scene. Shosanna looked remorseful after she shot Frederick. Despite being a Nazi he seemed like a good bloke. She regretted her coldness towards him. That's why she want over to his still body, as if to comfort him in his last moments.
At the end of the day though Frederick was still a soldier, and he wasn't about to die without taking his killer down with him. The last shot he fired into her was just for good measure. Brutal but fitting.
to add a song in a video, you should add the title of the song, the artist, the album, etc...all the information about it, in this way you tube aprove it because you are giving the rights to the original artist, try it!
@Haileysgramma If she didn't feel sorry for him and check on him, maybe she wouldn't have been shot?? It's terrible that after all she went through she was still killed by a nazi...but I guess she got her revenge in the end.
Haha, thanks for all your comments so far. I do wish that a relationship would have developed between them too, but I knew it was impossible. She was out for revenge and he is a Nazi nonetheless. And that's what this scene was trying to portray, I think.
@BOLSHEVIXTREME She loved a gorgeous African Frenchman....and I'm sure she would have told him that...had anyone ever bothered to ask her. Come to think of it...I don't think they even asked if they could use her theater.
@hautxtalons there was no real relationship between them two, the black frenchmen was her boyfriend. She wanted to have nothing to do with the nazi war hero since the start but was careful not to insult his or any other nazi presence until the very end.
@marcyarmy I was pissed when she died too...but it gives a since of drama to the movie and when she burns the place down, while her face is on the movie screne after her death....CHILLS!
uh i wanted himto live a;; he ever wanted was love but that bitch was a prick not him i mean i bet he was froced to become a nazi for somthing i dont fuckin no but it would have been asome if he was also a jew but thne hid and became a nbazi so no one could kill him lol yea thats pretty stupid bu wtf : )
really? I hated frederik. The guy was a prick. He put on this fake act of being humble then you finally see in the end that he really thinks he's above everyone due to the experience he had in the bell tower.
For me, I would've prefered Shoshanna to shoot him a few more times while he's down on the ground.
LOL XD Well I understand what you're saying, I do XD but what I'm saying is that I thought I would have liked the movie even more if there was a lovestory in it, you know forbidden love and all :p. But the movie is, ofcourse, still great ;) xxx
I'm glad Quentin did it make it a romance. That is such lazy storytelling and I'm sick of that in films. Why does there always have to be a romance? Shoshanna was a person who had been through hell and was a little cold inside. She wasn't going to open up and fall in love with a Nazi! That goes against everything about her. She is not emotional at this state she is angry and wants vengeance.
I disagree about the character. In fact, I found it very awkward and unrealistic when he suddenly flipped out like that. Every scene with him in it up until now displays him as rather clueless but well-meaning AND most importantly of all they show that he is clearly uncomfortable reliving his experience in the bell tower. It was almost as though, Tarantino realized he had made the character too likable and then had to throw that in so people would be okay with him dying.
I totally agree with you... this movie is in the top 3 of my all time favourite movies. I've seen this film 3 times in the cinema, and I would see it for a 4th time with no hesitation... There are lots of fantastic scenes which I enjoyed, but this part was my favourite, I cried too... As Colonel Landa said, BRAVO!!! xDDD
Great video! :D But, could you change the title of the video, please? I saw the movie before seeing this video, so I haven't been spoiled at all, but some people haven't seen the film yet, so they could be greatly spoiled by accidentally reading the title of this video. It's only a suggestion, great work anyway :)

Thanks for uploading. Great vid.
I don't understand all the people stating things about Frederick, that are polar opposites of what Quentin Tarantino said about the character.

Did Fredrick hesitate before shooting his last bullet?
Or was he just about to die and aimed "carefully" to shoot?

DAMIT! It sucks that Fredrick turned out to be that way! That was so random, I *hated* it!
I was really hoping he would stay nice and caring, and at the end they would still be alive and at least kiss before leaving eachother!!! :(
And I did cry when She died.. & (i'll admit it) when Fredrick hit her.
(Sigh, I guess I like to fantasize to much..) :D
