  • man i feel blessed that i was able to ride it...it was amazing.....

  • it came back for about a month in 2008. Then they sold it

  • @TheScarletChick101 They sold it about a week or so after the park closed for the season in 2007, by opening day 2008 all that was left were remnants of the towers.

  • I don't know how others feel about this coaster in truth. The one in Georgia was broke all the time. I waited nearly 2 hours to ride it, due to it's slow loading/unloading and the fact its not a closed circuit coaster. I get on it, and it does half its ride, to the second lift hill, and apparently it was going too fast and the sensors shut it down on the 2nd hill verticle. normally, I would enjoy being stuck, but not on this junk. special keys to unlock each shoulder bar. time spent 2 hr 45 min

  • when did they take it out anyone

  • @legomaster41 2007 was its final season.

  • it was called the hellevator?

  • For Fright Fest 2007; due to the accident at Kentucky Kingdom they did not use the name on Giant Drop like in years past.

  • that is gay!!!

    they took it off

ive been to sfga over 100 times since dejavu opened n it never broke down when i was there

they just closed it down for that gay azz dark night

they already have a ride similar to it

its only special cuz its in the dark

it u wanna ride a better ride than dark night try out the ragin cajun

dajavu waz my favorite ride @ sfga!!!

  • Dark Knight was built on the other side of the park.

Simply put, Vu came down because Six Flags is broke and was tired of pissing money into the mechanical nightmare, which ironically is running flawlessly at its new home.

  • wow i went there one day and it valleyed between the loop and tower 2 and in the cobra roll.

  • i went to six flags 8 times and it was never broken and the lines werent that long i loved it so much it was and still is my favorite ride at great america and they replaced it with a little bitch called batman they already have batman and its way better than the new thing I LOVE YOU DEJA

  • The video makes me want to cry. I miss that coaster.

  • i♥ this ride!

  • no the dark night coaster going in by superman ... as roomer has been heard (this rumer seem to be developing into fact) they may get the first dive machine for a six flags park.!!!

  • Slow down... let's get through this season first.

  • i heard that rumor. they said it would take the place of both vu and splashwaterfalls

  • i have more proof of this ... when they released the dark night the par president said to look for something connecting the sites of Vu, and splash water falls

  • sweet!

  • Six Flags Great America does suck its so stupid why replace a big roller coaster with another rajin cajun so what if its a high maitenance cost just look at Ceder Point in Sandusky Ohio they have really good roller coasters with high maitenance cost.

  • Cedar Point can do that because they're not over $2,000,000,000 in debt, unlike Six Flags.

  • @jonrev it's sad huh... corporations spending out the ass like middle-class citizens. Only in America will you find that 90 percent of a country's population is in debt, including the companies. Blame Time Warner for majority of the issues. They got SF in this mess in the first place. Lesson #1... Contracts, contracts. READ your contracts.

  • The Dark Knight Roller Coaster is not techincally replacing DejaVu. That will be located in Orleans Place. DejaVu's spot will remain vacant for 1 season. While it's replacement will come later.

  • its replaced by a freethrow game actually. kinda stupid

  • The only part that makes me tear up is at the end when the music fades out and you can hear the fright fest music in the background as it fads out.

  • finany that rid needed to go sory people who like it i do nt its my opinion and the posible removal of spash water falls oh i see a dive coaser in our futre

  • Great video..shame this is ELO's only good song. But hey, its a very interesting choice for a Deja Vu tribute.

  • Very nice, Jon! I absolutely LOVE the song! It almost made me cry...I started to get a few tears...especially the last sentence!

  • I always wanted to ride Deja Vu. 2 down 1 to go. Well...there's always Stunt Fall :(

  • R.I.P. Deja Vu...2001-2007

  • Comment removed

  • Luxorny...the valid REASON as to why a POV is not included is due to the fact that they are prohibited on most Six Flags Great America rides. (Especially all roller coasters...). Even though Jon Revelle is guilty of producing POVs from the park, it is frowned upon majorly.

  • That, and I didn't feel like fighting with a bunch of ride-ops and ACErs that night. Although I DID ask to do one.

Ironically, earlier that day a ride-op was on the tower 2 microphone yelling at a guest with a camera.

  • I am aware that it is frowned upon unless special permission has been granted. That's why I said I know some valid reasons why he didn't include them.

  • Good vid. It would have been nice to see a POV in there, but I can see some valid reasons why you wouldn't use one.

  • i am going to miss that ride

  • Good Job Jon!
