This performance sticks in my mind because Eddie and Gary were swapping that Liverpool sticker between their shirts. The awful thing is that, at almost the same time that this programme was being broadcast, the Heysel Stadium Disaster was happening.

@sastal I could not have had more pride for the Reds after seeing families and kids gather from all over England to cheer their team on; it warmed my heart. What happened in Brussels was borne of a bunch of thugs with no nationality. They could have been from anywhere in hell. I hope to return to Liverpool next year for the band's 30th anniversary, so they (Gary and Eddie) say. I have made friends there and would love to see them again. Happy New Year 2012.
