I notice this game likes to give you powerups where they put you at a disadvantage. Fork Pogo when enemies are on the ceiling, Dishes when the enemies go right under them... basically whenever you'd rather just use the pan.

The icing on this cake of madness is the size of this restaurant compound.

We've been in a sprawling outdoor area suggesting that there are at least two separate buildings here (each of which are 4 stories high).

The kitchen and the freezer are also half the size of the dining area (and each are 3 stories high).

This place is an impractical nightmare. Why, Ohdove, why?

Even back in the NES days, it was pretty rare for a game to say, "You get one chance to make this jump, then we're making it impossible for you". Typically you could go backwards and respawn the ledge sprite or what not... I was a quite surprised to see this game had a whole section of it.

I remember saving a drawn picture of what Mario's world would be like if it was real. This game has made me think much worse thoughts than that picture ever could. Giant knives, jutting out of the ground, malicious carrots hunting you down like a witch. It's all too much.
