@JeuneTurks In the Ottoman Empire,women were treated respectively and safely because they had rights. It's in Islam to treat women just as equally as you treat men,with dignity and respect. Whereas everywhere else at the time including the western countries,there were no women rights until the late 20th century.The arabs were the only ones to treat women fairly before everyone else. Even the Romans and Persians at the time used to neglect there women and chase after men instead. Long live Islam!
