He talks in the start russo european bear dog and dog looks like a russo european laika. I have had both karelian bear dog and nowadays russo european laika. For a karelianbear dog it looks like too light structured, but for a russo european laika in summer fur it seems very like it.

I'm sure he's 3/4's Karelian Bear Dog, but just a patch of white on his chest can't be considered breed standard. However, he's just as amazing as one and I would love to have him. Great dog. <3
thats funny. He was the only one that came out all black, he has a white patch on him around his neck but that's about it. The rest of them had white & black all over, i took him cause he had the sign of being the most aggressive out of the bunch. i also have his brother that is black & white as u claim. Tell ya the truth i don't care what he has in him. He just held a bull moose up for me for around 30min and attack about 15 bears now. i just purchased a video camera today just for this reason.
If that is Karelian Bear dog as you claim, the breeder is doing something very wrong, its a breed fault to not have white or even have black specks on the white, they MUST have white, and for a KBD he's pretty scrawny.
Your dog is not a Karelian Bear dog, obviously it has some in it, but it is not a purebred, its along the lines of you saying you have a golden retriever, except its a merle.
lol can't believe some of you guys think hes a mutt mix. LOL anyways when i run into a wild animal there is no other dog in the world i'd want by my side than this so called mutt. I'm sure he will lose a battle one day but at 2 years old he has never lost a fight yet. Also he aint all show and no go when bears come around, he bites them every chance he gets, not just bark at it like 90% of bear dogs do. He has a special bimbo breed in him you guys only wish your dog had ;)
Its A Cute Dog, Maybe He's Mix Or Not. Doesn't Look Like it Thou. He Runs Pretty Fast, Except My Dog Is Faster Cuz She's A Border Collie And Aussie Mix.
thanks, he can hold 40km for a good 2min. fastest i clocked him was 50km. I thought he ran pretty good so thought i'd post it so people can see how fast they go.
lol its no labrador mix. Father came from Russia with papers pure breed European laika. I just had the dog on a MASSIVE BLACK bear last night. The bear was 2 ft from patio door. Let dog out and it jumped on its ass & gave him a good bite as he turned around face to face. Dog stood it's ground bear ran dog chased. Love to see a labrador do that lol. So far this dog has went up against 9 bears, 1 coyote or wolf couldn't tell they scraped 200 yards from me when i was moose hunting and 1 wolverine.

Sweet! I didn't know they could run that fast. I have a KBD, too, but I've never clocked her. I just know she's fast. Greyhounds can run at 45 mph average, too.
the only reason i posted it as a karelian bear dog is to get more hits on video as karelians get more looked at then REL.
