Once you have installed your Steam game, create a shortcut from your Steam games list. Once the shortcut appears on the desktop, follow the instructions below.
Open the NVIDIA Control Panel.
Select Manage 3D Settings.
Select Program Settings tab.
Click Add.
Browse to and select the application executable file that needs the new profile.
Choose the preferred graphics processor to use from the drop menu.
@Alienwareservices I've done what you've stated above but whenever I add a program to the list and hit "apply" the next time I open the list the program is no longer there. One specific program I need help with is battlefield bad company 2. I'm getting really low frame rates even at low settings and I've seen other videos where the m11x runs it just fine so I know the graphics card is not kicking in. How can I fix this?
@Balastic Please make sure that the program that you're adding to the white list is the actual .exe file. Adding the shortcut will only work if its the actual .exe. If that doesn't fix your issue then call 1800-ALIENWARE for technical support.
i could probably run C&C Generals on the integrated graphics decently. Helping to ration the battery life a little more.
