The poorest person in the United States is wealthy compared to a lot of people who live in third world countries. I will say this though, in my travels, I have seen some very, very poor people yet they seemed happier then most who live here. We are a country of very unhappy people.

Hi, good vid. I am grateful, but not happy. I can hardly stand it right now knowing the suffering of the billion you speak of, unimaginable to me, is happening, and those trying to survive in warzones and oppression. Honestly I don't want to live on this planet with that happening- please, it can ALL REALISTICALLY be resolves. All of it. I live at minimal money to...happy with that warm shower, me and my kid can take every day, still can buy healthy food for us, buy secondhand toys with "sinterklaas" (living in the netherlands). I'm scared sometimes for wat's ahead of us....so i try to enjoy everything we still have now, print it in my mind..... Merry Christmas to you and the kids!! Take care& stay safe!

I think we need to be grateful for what we have while we have it, because one day it might not be there. Even if all we have are the clothes on our backs, we should be thankful to see another day because another day is a chance to do good work that God has enabled us to do.

Half the people on this planet have never used a telephone and never will. Many don't care. I pulled in four grand last year. I'm glad I can take a bath -- the same one runs us about 50 usd out in Brittany, France! I just wish I could get a kiss, a hug and an I love you from my spouse for Christmas this year -- this would be the first time in going on 18 years however, and I have few illusions. Uprated.

@bodryn It has made me strong enough to love myself sufficiently. It's very hard to see the love of your life, however, so shut down. Having my mother in Ohio phone me and call me a slut twice because I refuse to send her any more money has been very hard, also. I am tempted to write and tell her if I am a slut and she takes my money, that would make her a pimp, but it's pointless. I cut my brother off, too. These people are insane.

@slobomotion I come from a family where my mother was kind, but died years ago; my late father came from a family that routinely turns their back on their people and sell out for money. Some years ago I made a decision to "stay away from mean people". I only wish I'd decided to do that earlier in life. Now I'm in a happy marriage and hope to keep it that way. It would be hard to be in a relationship where the partner doesn't reciprocate.

@bodryn Yes, I've always been a super soft touch, especially when it came to family. I don't know what kept me from being more objective. I think I just swallowed all that "family is important" stuff. That's brainwashing. If they're no good, don't have anything to do with 'em! I do my best to try to accept my situation -- most men get tired of their wives. (There are exceptions, and you seem to be one! But that's rare!) Being so completely alone is hard, however. xo

@ACatal1 Tell me about it. I keep reminding myself, "Desire not the fruits of thy labors." If he is too ill to love me back, despite how good I am to him, I just have to shrug and accept that. Trying to deal with this man, a triple Pisces, is like trying to herd cats! People are very fooled by him or even scared. He changed in 2000 after our milabs experience.
