I have bought this card for a media pc, a club3d version, but it cant even show windows aero properly at 1920x1080, am I doing something wrong or is the card just that bad? its installed in a ASRock M3A770DE motherboard ( I have to notice that the 'required' 24 pins and 8 pins power supply are not plugged in, a 20pin and a 4pin instead, dont know if it has anything to do with that..)

@Dayfoxx7000 The 550Ti is classed as a gaming card. Any lower and you get into the media card range. The 430 is a media card. The 440 is a media card. The 550Ti is a low end gaming card. I pull 90FPS with a 2500k on BF3 @ 1440x900 with a 550Ti.

@crustylion321 Bullshit. The Card's maximum watt load-out is about 19.1 Watts or so. Running with most advanced Quad-Core, on a high resolution, it still does not reach 200 Watts. Goes by 170 Watts or so. It is essentially, a very low-power consuming card.

There's also the 6670 which is faster and even more efficient.

sure you can run all of them..but you need 1gb card...you can play gta 4 on medium settings (sometimes on high)

I bought this as a down grade (the XFX version of the 5450) from a 4870 which is extremely noisey,big and power hungry.

I don't game on PC because lets face it. PS gaming is dead.

I have a great i7 setup with 6 gig or ram and this card is absolutely fine, cool and completely silent.

@gmk120 Passive essentially means there is no fan cooling the heatsink. Heat is dissipated without the need for active cooling. Can only be used on very low powered graphics cards.

@gmk120 I don't think they'd be anything inside the heatsink fins. High end air coolers have liquid (for example water vapour) at very low pressure. This means the liquid boils at very low temperatures, typically at medium temperatures the cpu is expected to reach. This boiled liquid "moves" along the heatpipe to the cooler end and dissipates heat to the attached fins! These very low end and low power graphics cards would produce such low heat that they wouldn't need these vapour chambers.
