It would be nice if those that filmed this did something for the village, Doctor, dentist, clothes, books and a bridge. I could never leave without trying to find big corporation to build a better life as far as selling their produce and products...bueatiful people..
It doesn't seem quite true that the Lisu "struggle to keep up with a world that is leaving them behind." It appears as if they are damn happy living a real life that lacks petty distractions and has no need for all the trappings of a profit-driven, technologically modern society. If they did "catch up" then the river would be horribly polluted and the landscape would be butchered to generate a Yuan or two of profit. They are better off living a good, natural life, and I would do the same too.

thanks there for posting this video. Great job. You know, there are about 600000 lisus in China, 350000 in Myanmar, and 30000 in Thailand. And the Lisus in China seemed to be most forgotten folks.
Thank God for a man like J.O.Fraser, the first American Missionary to the Lisu ethnic and his contributions. Pray that the North American Baptists will make notice of the Lisus and then support them.
I am very much happy to see Lisu children now have opportunity to go to school.

I guarantee you that the chicken they serve their guest is much much more tastier than the normal frozen one you find in supermarket.

At 14:27. Nothing more fun than a bunch of drunken Baptists.

"The children are guaranteed a free education until age eleven". Yeah, that's when they are expected to leave school and get married.

edenezar, Why should North American Baptists support them? Aren't people supposed to support themselves?
