They are smarter than what was depicted here. I established the alpha-beta understanding with my dog at a very early age. I would ask him "Who's daddy?" and he would give me a kiss. If I asked "Who's baby?" he would brush against me. Dogs need that structure in their lives and understand it. Good training and you have to put a lot of time into it. I think them to be one of the smartest breeds.
Aww that's so cute!! and I can say from having experience with a few pitbulls that not ALL are that willing to do tricks, yes they are VERY intelligent but some are just too stubborn. Love the fact that you show how loving and smart they are in this vid, more people need to see that in pitbulls.

You have to be firm in your voice when claiming dominance or just like children if you are not, they will not obey and respect you. They will run around doing what they like because they see no authority in your presence.
