  • recycle - whats wrong w/ that?!?!

  • Alexi Lalas is here with his arsenal of cliches.

  • cont..Much of a lift has 5 times safety factor when the highrise you work in has a 1.25 safety factor. Finally, the codes for this lift are exactly the same as those of the "new" lift. Reality TV is rarely real. Nice work, Kyle and crew.

  • A lot of misconceptions posted. The "hurry" is because that helicopter is $thousands/hour so it saves the customer, towns people of Cody, money to be efficienly fast. Second, there is an engineer who is designing this lift out of the used parts. The parts that "wear" like shafts, bearings, gearboxes are new or reconditioned.

  • dun't look very snowy there to me

  • well... they scared away the wildlife that surrounds yellowstone national park -_-

  • I live in Cody

  • A ski lift made from old used rusted parts? I wouldn't go on it.

  • Since none of you gapers have any damn clue how this goes now.. THis is how 90% of the "new lifts" you see at your favorite lil spot. As many little area's die.. others buy the crap. You think you ride on new stuff, yet for Dopplemier or C-tec, or Tramway, Poma etc to build ya a new one from scratch.. Go look at what it took to Dismantle and build the NEW tram at Jackson Hole

  • Mt. Hood pwns this "resort".

  • It's not about what is 'best" it's about getting out there and riding man

  • wow they make one ski lift not much of a ski resort

  • @xcooper23x Im sure the locals are happy with it. Keeps the gapers away... and if you dont know what a gaper is, you probably are one

  • i have a feeling someones gonna get killed on this thing...LOL

  • for some reason it looks like the ground won't hold ....

  • Wait Wait Wait!!Bring Mt. back to life??By setting a ski lift? Are you kidding me?You are bringing the money back to life for the human. not mountain's life......

  • Doesn't sounds very safe to me.

  • @dumbdums I concur, using old stuff to build something... doesn't sound very safe.

  • haha I'm suppose to trust what they are building with rusted crap lying? It's not like it's important or anything.....

  • @JOHNCHUYOUTOO almost every resort has recycled lifts/parts they get inspected every year dont comment on what you dont know

  • Yknow, I always wondered how they fixed those things :'\

  • Wait wait, the "community" is doing it?? Sounds like some of that evil socialism to me! See what happens when socialism takes hold? You get Frankenstein! QED.

  • HURRY UP! bulid that thing that tons of people will trust their lives to.....go as fast as you can.

  • I heard while doing the interview some of the National geographic ppl didnt like Kyle Clark and his attitude so they aired all the bad film of him yelling at ppl lol

  • Agreed....they better be damn sure this stuff is safe. Can you imagine if this failed an people get seriously hurt? That's a HUGE lawsuit right there would make their efforts pointless.

  • lift with the Knees!

  • hmmm, not sure how I feel about that, I understand the rush, but hey, if it is safe enough, why not.

  • Comment removed

  • Sorry, this is not something one rushes...

  • @onepcwhiz yeh that's what i was thinking. i wouldnt trust riding on a ski lift that has been made from rusty parts that have been sitting around for four years

  • @onepcwhiz well things don't always go the way you want em to

  • @onepcwhiz you must of missed the word "profit" somewhere in this video

that is the problem with public safety now a days, that people are trying to 'profit' off of things like this.... the people that invested in it more than likely didnt do it because they wanted to see their dear park re-open for the good people of their town, rather whats gonna go into their pockets once it does.

  • @onepcwhiz You clearly don't understand how ski lifts are built. Almost all of the parts are preassembled, and it basically comes down to this: You have the towers (long tubes), the towerheads (the horizontal metal structures), and the sheave assemblies (the wheels). The sheave assemblies are usually connected to the towerheads beforehand. The towers are secured to the foundation (and screwed in) and the towerhead is attached to the tower. Finally, the cable is added to the lift. Done.
