  • Is this a good amp for a first full tube setup?

I'm looking for an amp that can cover anything, from blues to rock to metal.

  • really good clean tone dude :))) but were is that Marshall crunch?

  • oh god dude ur hurting my eyes, throw away epiphone, its such a garbage!

  • Nice fender or Vox sound you have there lol

  • One speaker?

  • @LesterPaul01 This one has one 12´´ speaker but there is a ma100c that has a 2x12 cab ;)

  • that pop and crackle sound is not from the amp hopefully

  • amazing D:

  • that one im gonna geting that amp i hope works with my boss pedals

  • Ha, great video man. Preach it wiff yo fingahs.

  • 12ax7?? did you change the tubes?

  • Is this good for metal?

  • @elldorado1991

If you have a pedal to 'push' it, maybe it can be good for metal, otherwise it isnt. It is more like a vintage mid-gain amp. It tries to give a pure marshall-like consistent tube tone without costing too much. Try out Blackstar amps.

  • @ewmehmo

    Thank you

  • I'm getting a new amp later this year, but can't decide between a 6505+112 or the MA50c, whats the best in your opinion

  • @JustSomeRandomNewb That's a strange two choices lol. They're nothing a like and the price difference is big.

  • @JustSomeRandomNewb sorry, I got confused between the cab and the combo for a sec. I would choose a 6505.

  • FINALLY !!!!someone who tests out the clean channel and not just the distortion

  • I,ve just tried one in a store nearby... good plastic sound...Seriously. this amp sounds like crap ! i can't believe there's any tubes in this...thing...

only the clean tone is a bit "listenable"

  • @monkeebizz how is this in terms of reliablity? i am eyeing on this but still in doubt about reliability issues. thanx!

  • Vox t-shirt, Marshall amp, loving the combo XD

  • I really like the sound of all Marshall amps, and I think this is very good choise to feel that sound, with quite cheap price. I buy this one from Thomann maybe next week. I recommend!

  • How well does the amp react to fuzz?

  • LE GROS MYTHO. IL FILME L AMPLI CAR IL NE JOUE PAS !!

  • What settings are you playing with here? I just bought this amp and want a similar sound. Thanks in advance.

  • No OD channel? :(

  • do both clean and drive channel use tube ?

or is it like avt series. avt series dont use tubes on clean channel. i want a marshall uses tubes in all channels.

is this amph suitable for me??

  • @memnan This is a tube amp. In a tube amp, both channels are going to be tube. The AVT series is not tube--it's hybrid.

  • How loud will it get, i wanna buy this thing and gig with it.

  • what's the difference between a tube amp and a valve amp?

    thanks =)

  • @GarriSG23 same thing different name

  • thts awesome you played for 35,000 man seriously a dream come true

  • it's Slash!

  • in the back is that an original ac4!

  • Thank you very much for an awesome demo! Nice to hear the amp with a single coil guitar. I am to buy one of these Ma 50's, and I was wondering, or i still am, if there is any amp just as affordable as the Ma 50, that would do me better?

Very nice tunes in the vid, btw. I like your playing ;)

    Thank's a lot

  • is it right that the ma series sounds bad? many people say that they sound sharp, rough, only cheap and after a while like a toaster or something because of their low price... do they have the typical marshall sound?

  • Why were you on a company account and not your own

  • How is this amp compared to a Fender Blues Deluxe or a Hot Rod Deluxe? what's your opinion? Do you think this would be better than a Mesa Boogie MK IIC+? thanks.

  • hello nice demo! this or the Blackstar HT40?

  • nice hat,nice amp

  • Comment removed

  • I have the Blackstar HT20 Studio. also I put a vintage 30 in as soon as i bought it another great sounding amp for a low price tag.

  • @DrewBlackstar This is a great reason not to get a blackstar, they try to put down they're compeditors as opposed to making they're product seem great through actual features. Marketing no no Blackstar

  • Comment removed

  • @DrewBlackstar LOL, did they fire you? :P

  • Hmm I like this amp alot. I was wondering if I could use the line 6 Pod HD with the amp?

  • @SonicGamer1991 why? this amp has a great tone already dude.

  • i went from a crate GX15 to an MA50c....lets just say it was a worthy upgrade.

  • @CoheedAtThe930 i have a crate gt65 and i'm also thinking of upgrading to this one, do you like this amp?

  • how long do you think could the tubes last? I'm used to solid state amps..I'm afraid tubes might blow in the long run..what do you think? marshalls are great!

  • the MA series are not for hard rock player!!!

  • hey man,i have the same amp as you but the 100 watts. when i use my pedals linked one to the other in the amp input it gives a very wierd sound, very crunchy...i dont know.

    can yuo help me please.

    thank you

  • what does combo mean?

  • @pianop90 Means the amp is in the same box as the speaker(s) it drives.

  • i have this amp, what are the settings you use for the overdrive? i'm trying to get a classic/hard rock kinda sound, and what are the settings you use for presence and resonance?

  • how heavy is the amp?

  • Got this amp today and I love it!

  • Hi! ...nice video :)....do you think its will sounds good with squier standart stratocater??...and dou you think is this combo for playing in clubs with band???:) thank....and sorry for bad english (iam Czech) :)

  • great tone through those fingers, m'man.

    what do you think:

    Carvin mts3212

    this marshall

    or...best combo for the buck

coffee shop to larger room gigs.

  • how is this ma50c compared to a Marshall JCM2000 DSL100?

  • heyy how much was that amp??

  • @MrMusicM67 At Guitar Center it costs about $750.

  • What if I play metal? Do you think that this amp would be good metal amp? I got my eyes to this amp but my friends say that buy roland cube or something like that. Don't buy Marshall. But what you think?

  • @BodomKaQ if you want a real metal amp get a jmp 2203

  • how much should i be looking forward to be paying for this beauty?

  • I'm going to buy the GT-10 and a good amp to play it through. Would you recommend this amp for that purpose.

One more question: Can you get the distortion on this amp to be more metal-like without using any pedals?

  • is this amp all tube ?

  • I'd like to know too? I felt a little tricked when I was a teenager and bought a "valvestate" which didn't actually have the valve tubes. :z

  • @Jonnyrokstone85 I've got info dude, I've tried this amp in my country 2 days ago.

    1) This is an alltube amp. not hybrid

    2) This amp is NOT EVEN CLOSE with metal music, but has a good sound for blues&jazz esspecially.

  • @ErgoDM Nice one thanks, think i'm gonna buy the ma 100c for gigging. Metal for me is a bedroom jam only, can barely find people in scotland who even likes it!

  • @Jonnyrokstone85 you're welcome mate, btw, Randall RG50TC is a good metal amp which is alltube too. and it's not that expensive though. but like for the other alltubes, you should open the sound much if you really want to taste the tubes.

  • this or peavay 6505+ :S does this have good hi gain

  • hi, i was planning on buying one of this ma50c, because in my country there is not a lot of variety of amps, there is also the fender hot rode deluxe, about the same price wich one do you think is better?

  • I thought all the amps in the MA series were valve powered and not tubes?

  • @klummster88 Valves and tubes are the same thing.

  • Nice playing!

  • I'm actually looking for a much warmer sound. Then again, you are using a Telecaster with 3 single coils and a maple neck. I have a strat with a humbucker and a rosewood neck. Do you think this amp will sound a lot warm because of that?

  • this is a great amp for the price!

  • what marshall valve combo amp is the best?

  • just the first two seconds of you playing blew my mind what a sound!!! thanks for the video

  • Can anyone help me right quick? Ok. so im def going to get this amp, i play heavy metal, rock blues, yhu name it i play it, and i play gigs, should i get a 50 head, or 100combo?

  • nah, I remain a fender-amps guy

  • Very cool sound! Nice hat by the way :)

  • The overdrive sucks ass on this amp don't buy it

  • thats why you buy a stomp box or multi effects board :)

  • @halo214r which marshall combo amp has a good overdrive?

  • I don't know which amp to go with, this one or a Peavey 6505 combo 112

  • I am trying to decide between this amp, and a Peavey Classic 30. I like Blues, Punk, and Rock N' Roll. Is this good for me?

I don't use pedals, so does this have good overdrive?

Can it do small to medium gigs?

  • im stuck on the same choice as you..im leaning toward the peavey cos mostly il be using it in the house..really i want the best amp i can get for my 500 quid.

  • its an marshall, so yes it has a good overdrive

An its an tube amp, so it pretty loud for the size. so small gigs it will take easily, but not more then ...hard to say, but I think 100 people

  • you have any idea how load a 50 watt marshall is? :p Yea it doesn't have a lot of headroom, but when playing with some crunch you really get a loud amp

  • of course is it loud. 50 Watt is louder then it sounds...but I prefer from sound and optic a (don't how its called in English but I think) Stack, because can go bigger if you want to and it does costs so much more then a combo ;)

  • You are joking? :L i've played a gig with way over 100 people with a solid state marshal 50 watt amp. I only had the dile on 1 o'clock. A 50 watt tube amp will easily play for WAY over 100 people

  • Okay, that was maybe a bit shitty.

    II just guessed.

I played with a few friends and i was on a 50 watt marchall and had it on 7, wihtout any audience. So I'm sorry, next time I just say nothing =/

  • Ok say nothing :)

  • Hi this seems good, i have to decide between this and the peavey valveking 100 head, i know that they are made in china, but i'm not so secure with the valveking.. i read that the marshal ma makes some "zanzar" noise... is it real? i haven't the possibility to try it so i need to order it on internet, thi is the problem. thanks

  • what do you think ? marshall ma50c or peavey valveking 112 (which btw costs less)??

  • I had the roadking 1-12 its ok but the marshall ma50c is a better amp all the way.... el34 tubes give it that Marshall chime.

  • plain out the marshall is way better. the valveking is either stack or combo the stack is more than the marshall, but the marshall is more than the valveking combo. all in all the Marshall sounds soooo much better. even even though you get half the wattage as the valveking the marshall is still more worth it. TRUST ME.

  • @alexmetallicaZFC13 get a marshall jmp 2203 blows all of those away

  • i wouldnt take a valve king for free my frends got one the marshall will blow it away every day of the week if u put groove tubes in it the russain ones its gt el34 r or gt 12ax7 r

  • @alexmetallicaZFC13 Hey man! Peavey is cool to rock and metal, but nicely said its not the best clean channel.

The Marshall its very versatile, i will chose the Marshall.

  • man can i ask for ur opinion on this amp cuz i'm looking to buy my first valve amp and this one caught my attention and i'm really considering buying one. How much did it cost?

  • around 750 usd

  • wow this is actually a lot more tube sounding than the Haze series! Way to go marshall i hated the haze but this seems pretty comparable to their higher end stuff! Great Demo!

  • Nice clips, I've been looking to get one of these so I appreciate the videos. Can you put some videos of some hi gain?

  • @AntarcticanCommunist I have one here on the tube with high gain /epihone custom guitar

  • @monkeebizz what do you think ? marshall ma100c or marshall jcm 2000 tsl122 is better ?

  • Would you say this is loud enough for small gigs ?

  • 5o watt tube amp = more than enough

  • Thanks man

  • @101Toast101 with a 50w you r most likely to never hit da master past 6

  • Wow ..... Well i've got my eye on a VOX 100 watt valve at the moment ..... Thanks for that thought

  • @101Toast101 I have the vox ac50cp2 2-12 combo amp its a little warmer than the marshall ma50c.

  • Thanks man .... I'm looking for an amp that will give that hard sound but won't be metal crazy .... I'll look into that thanks

  • Sorry, already found your video with the epiphone!!!

    Cheers!!

  • Nice tone dude!!Since there isn't much about this amp on youtube it would be great if you could show the difference between the 2 channels and also push the amp to overdrive playing a guitar with humbuckers (using the Epiphone would be cool!!!)

    Cheers!!
