Dog (Beagle) With Bronchitis - Coughing and Wheezing

My Beagle does this. Vet said no serious problem, comes from licking his coat. Hairballs and such. Ever get a hair or something caught in your throat, and you try to 'hack' it up? Same thing, although I expect you'd do it more often if you licked your crotch daily.

My dog does that when he eats but hes been doing it for a while.. Could he have bronchitis or something similar??

@killersonny3445 The only way to know for sure is to take your dog to the vet for an exam and possibly a chest xray.

my , chihuahua has it . . he started getting better after a few days i didnt not know it took a whole month for them to get fully cured ?

@Cottoncandysugarful Every dog is different - the medication should generate some improvement after a few days. My dog was still tired and not quite herself until a month after treatment.

every time my dog do that , it means he ate something bad and a few moment later he usually vomit.. [sometimes it may be bcuz of hot weather !!!]

this is whats happening to my dog now, i dont know what to do. He still have FEVER.. And he do that kind of stuff . He's like Coughing, or something and he looks like hes Hiccuping But with no sound, i cant describe it, How did you cure your dog? Cuz im so sad, i dont know what im going to do with him. :[[ I want the old playful him back. :[

@myers10200 You need to take your dog to a veterinarian for treatment.  My dog was prescribed an antibiotic for the infection and an antihistimine to help her breathing. She was a little better after a few days on the medication and fully better after a few weeks.

@TopTenCrew She's doing fine! The treatment described in the blog entry worked although it took her almost one month to get back to normal.
