Nem dois nem quatro tempos, o futuro está aí, as motocicletas elétricas substituirão os motores a combustão com muita eficiência e sem poluição por movimentos.
At least one electric motorcycle (not MissionMotors) has already competed with the gassers in 2011, at AutoCub Speedway. Competing in two WERA sprint races the emc rider took two podium finishes! He later returned for a fast-track test where he pushed the hp up to 240 and hit 163+ mph on the front straight and shaved 2 seconds off of his previous winning lap times. I was there both days and took video (posted on my channel).
@kostea13 while this is cool, just so you know, the first electric motor for commuting was developed in 1832, about 20 years before the first combustable engine
Nitro engines were the shit in remote control back in the day.Brushless electric motors are the shit now. Will MotoGP bikes all be electric someday? I would like to see a epic battle in the GPs Electric vs Gas.The E-bikes just need a power source that last a long time. How about setting up a E-bike no change in weight of fuel through out the race.
@TheDragonknee71 Right now, the gas bikes would smoke the electric bikes. Well on a top end level anyway. On the track, they would be about the same. Then again it'll be much lighter cause there's no exhaust. Its not holding any extra weight from gas either. Well either way, electric bike would lose. Til they make them faster and things like that. nitro powered rc cars are better. The run time is better on nitro. I love my bandit vxl though. The 4 tec and jato is awesome^_^
All that speed and virtually NO contribution to the oil in the Gulf of Mexico! People, we need more vehicles like this to reduce our dependence on oil and reduce the danger to our Earth. 40 to 50 miles per gallon with a gass bike is still a lot of BP oil being used and supporting more drilling and dangerous practices. Let's bring on the electric vehicle NOW!
how long can it run 150, and what it acceleration getting there? A previous product cant be replaced until it is surpassed. Maybe 5 more years till electric bikes can run with 600 supersports for the duration of 1 race.
WOW!!! That is one EXTREMELY AWESOME, BITCHIN' BIKE!!!!! Who'd have ever thought in the motorcycle world that it would be at all possible to build a bike that could haul MAJOR ASS yet emit NO fumes or emissions at all? Let those gas prices go sky high!!! Mission doesn't give a damn!!!!
@ford9572 Emit no emissions LMAO. Most electricty in USA is COAL powered. So basically it is a bike thta runs on COAL and lots of it. Nothing ECO about electricity.
its just to bad that they are NOT the worlds fastest electric motorcycle like they claim to be. Riches-Nelson racing has that honor when they set the record at Speedweek on the bonneville salt flats with the record at 175 mph and top speed of 179.334mph i know this for a fact because i am a member of the team.
Props to your team! Very ambitious too as I see you got your eyes set on 300mph!
Isn't it possible that the Mission Motors bike was in a different class, say... production electric bike? I'm no BSF expert, but it seems like they've got lots of different classes and sanctioning groups. Isn't your teams bike a streamliner? Let's give Mission One some props too. They are published by BUB as the AMA speed record holder... Mission Motors Jeremy Cleland 300-APS-W 150.059 Apples & Oranges?
Starting with the battery fully charged, on the first 20 miles, the bike's capability may degrade logarithmically! I think it may be capable of only 80 mph top speed after 20 miles of test run at 60 mph. You may like the super scooter appearance, but some may be disappointed by its performance.
Well then think again. All lithium chemistries, lipo, lifepo4, lico, etc. have pretty much flat voltage profiles their entire discharge cycle. The power of the bike will be the same at 90 percent state of charge as it will be at 20 percent.
Que buen video....creo que es un prototipo exelente, sigan con esa iniciativa para buscar energias alternativas para ese tipo de màquinas. Los felicito desde Colombia.

I just paid $250 to replace O-rings in 3 of my carbs, $90 is labor costs. I'd like an electric sportbike so I can fix and upgrade my own damn bike like I do PC's. I wouldn't mind paying 13K = 2009 CBR600RR ABS. Other than that, electric is gay for now! costwise =(. Since it's for work, I don't mind a 80mph limit for now, as long as it handles well in the twisties....

im a little skeptical on how safe this thing is.
Car drivers have trouble seeing motorcycles as it is. And now they cant even hear you either???
