Wizardry 8 solo gameplay (faerie ninja)

On the kidnapping, all i did was get two npc's to kill brekek for me when my ninja was kidnapped. lol

It's impossible. U must use W8 Editor but in normal solo game we lose when we must give martin statuette

Yeah, that´s an other possible way without the Cane of Corpus, but maxing the spells and skills are the same long way :) . Patience is the key.

I've managed to finish the whole game with one char as well. Started as monk to get stealth to 100. On lvl 2 switched to bishop and after learning all the spells and maxing magic skills I've turned into fighter. This way i had almost all spells in the game, a LOT of armor (almost unhitable) and resists and quite nice dmg with weapons too. Was kinda annoying to max the skills but it was worth it in the end :D

Hey, I was always curious. What happens when you play with a single character and you take the idol in the Marten's Bluff? Because when you play with a party, one of your characters is kidnapped. And it would be weird if your only character disappers :P

If i hadn't played trough the game before I wouldn't have known that Crock is behind the kidnapping. So what is the solution to prevent the kidnapping? :)

@cronerator Hm, I guess you cannot prevent the kidnapping, unless you kill Crock before you take the idol :P Or he would still kidnap you as a ghost xD

So the kidnapping does not occur when you play with only one character?

I killed Crock so there was nobody to kidnap me.:) (or an another option, you get a NPC like Vidomina or the android or anyone else and let him/her kidnapped.)

Igazából a Cane of Corpus megszerzése után lett "könnyebb" a haladás, de a randomfaktor azért sokszor közrejátszik.

A Cane of Corpus valóban jól jön majd, de sajna egy darabig nélkülözni kell. Don Barlone nem egy gyenge ellenfél. Különben újra is kezdtem, hogy a megfelelő képességeket fejlesszem a megfelelő sorrendben. Érezhetően könnyebb. Most 6. szintű a karakterem (Katsumoto) , azt hiszem mehetek kinyírni Gregort.

Az Arnikába való út viszont gondolom rázós lesz.

I always love watching people do crazy single character runs like this. Of course, the only reason Fairy Ninjas are viable in the first place is because of the Cane of Corpus is exponentially better than every other weapon in the game.

@flyingspagetti That was just an intended joke, since in the Last Ninja games, we were controlling one ninja, whos brethren were slaughtered, so it falls to use to have revenge and destroy the evil leader (Kunitoki) and all his followers.

If we're soloing Wizardry 8 with a ninja, than I see a certain similarity, since our job is pretty much the same it seems :)

Can you tell me what the Senses and Piety stats are for? Is Piety maybe like Wisdom in D&D games where it gives access to higher priest spells and strengthens them, the equivalent to intelligence for mages?

But I have no idea what "Senses" might influence.

@RottenRroses Piety is the major attribute that determines the number of spell points a character has available and it's needed to learn some specific spells. Senses determines at what distance monsters are spotted. In combat, it has influence on initiative as well as stealth, critical strikes and psionics.

an example:

If you kill a monster for which you get 1000xp then it will be divided with the number of your party members so 1000/10=100 and in solo 1000/1=1000 :)

Interesting, I have played around 10 parties and got very far with them, I have never had less than 6 guys in ym party.

I think I might go solo but can I ask you one question?

Say you have a aprty of 6 with that character included in it, will it get the same exp in a party as going solo? Like if you were solo would you still only get the exp you would get from being in a party? if you don't understand what I mean please say:)

@czzero11 Sorry for the Late Reply but: if you had a party of six and Say u kill a monster that gives 12,000 EXP you would divide that by 6 thus every 1 gets 2k Experance but if you do Solo it and u kill the same monster that Character would get all 12k Experance

@MrSonicSlave thats true. Although i have to admit, the first few bits are brutal as in the beginning you are under level (default 6 party members now just one). I gave up on faerie ninja because of that. Nonetheless, awesome game.

Not so hard to get it and it makes your life easier.

@MrSonicSlave I got if from Don by killing him. If you have the right lvl, maxed skills it's quite easy. What you only need is patience.

Really good one! I should install the game and try this character too. Cane of Corpus is the best! Where did you get it - from Don?
