yeeeekid I dont think so, by installing an air intake im only changing the pipe & filter, everynting else stay the same, like the sensor... I have it on for almost 2 years, no problems at all. I might be wrong though.
@lempira69 dont listen to him i have the exact same car just the wagon version. mine is a 2007 Subaru impreza special edition 2.5i and nice intake i have been wanting to do the exact same which one did you buy ?
@iMattxthexGreat your fucking dumb if you had any common sense.. the 02 rear end looks nothing like that and an 02 wrx didnt come with that body package -_-
@monkeyspanker1000 first of all your the dumb ass, they have almost identical rears, its the front that is the difference, second of all in the pictures yes, it is an 07, however, in the accual footage the center concel has different diles for the ac, temperature, and possisioning of the air flow, ex in the footage they are like pointers you pinch and turn, in my car they spin on the outside, for lack of better words
Well all i 've done is jest removing the stock panel filter and put the cone filter connected to the stock tube coming out of the air box it sounds good but do u think that having a stainless one would be better instead of stock air box concerning sound and performance ?! U should get those uel headers btw really nicr
@brettjr25 i don't think so, i have it on for over a year and no problems whatsoever, plus the only thing you are doing is: adding a pipe/ filter, everything else stays the same ( sensor)
@lempira69 I'm also thinking about getting the same intake for the same car. Did you notice any performance gains or just the increase in sound. Also did you install it yourself? If so was it difficult?
@NorwalkHighSoccer well it was a good price, about performance gain, not really, i'll say that i love how it sounds :) i did install it myself, not that hard, but a pain in the neck though 'cause you will need to take the wheel off , plus it does not come with brackets to hold it in place. if you ordered from Cosmo, tell them that you need a bracket. otherwise will be hard to hold it in place.
If you guys want to keep you engine clean, use: ZEP degreaser from home depot, it works great, just trow water then ZEP, wait about 5 minutes then more water. it WONT damaged anything, after 3 years using it my sooby's engine looks brand new.
i think it doesnt matter if he likes the STi wing, thats like saying people with an STi shouldnt go wingless, its still an sti regardless...some people just like it or dont
@Cheffner412 thaks for the comment, you might be right about the wing, but honestly , i like how it look. i just got on the yakima roof racks/ king cobra bike racks, it looks sick.
Just do what i did, take off our stock intake, attach a sensor adapter piece with a rubber joint and some clamps, add a 3 inch metal tube just for some length, and then pop a K&N or any brand filter on there, it's really easy and fun to make a do-it-yourself intake, just take a trip to advanced auto.
@YaBoiKlaus , Hi, to be honest, i don't know what kind it is, i got it in one small shop by where i live, i paid about $250.00 with installation, i will stop by again and i'll get the name for you.
kinda think you should maybe get some more power mods before you go for the cosmetics. the sti wing on an n/a car just doesnt work, otherwise, sounds great
@himrdude Thx for the comment, and yes, i think you are right, i just got the eibach set, i will put them on after winter. by the way you got nice videos.
@aznsk8ter not that hard, the hard part its to removed the plastic onder the fender to place the intake filter, you kind of have to play around to put in on, beside that easy,
@ImprezaCloud sounds great, but i dont think i makes big different in power, i think you should get suspension, which im about to do myself, some eibach springs.
Somebody told me getting and intake for a 2.5i ruins the engine. I forget why though

@Racing4ever1 I have it on for almost a year, no problems at all. you don't do anything to sensor. sensor stay on place all the time.

I was thinking of getting one but I heard on NASIOC that the car isn't made to have one so it will negatively effect performance.

paterson2311 10 months ago
@paterson2311 This is what i got, 2.5" Inlet/5.5" Euro Square Oval Tip Muffler Exhaust its very cheap, it works fine, 3 years with it.
lempira69 10 months ago
@lempira69 oh thanks a lot! oh btw do you know how to make a subie rumble?
paterson2311 10 months ago
@paterson2311 The UEL headers plus exhaust & muffler will do that.
