Links from oot, mm and tp are the same, in oot the story begins as a chld, then you grow as an adult, and zelda takes you back to childhood, that's when you go to look after Navi in mm, then, after that, when you grow up to an adult, it's the tp one, so, ganondorf has fighted the hero of time twice in the same lifetime

Zelda's dream reminds me about Star Wars Episode III when Anakin had that dream where Padme dies while giving birth, and then it happens at the end of the movie.
