  • @duminny66 , in order Windows to be the active partition I installed OSX first , and windows after , thast what I done . nowadays I have triple boot , installed linux mint from windows , I have a video showing it .

  • @chefedogang alright so what do i do

is it because i got OS X 10.4 and easybcd works on OS X10.5

anyway i am going to install iDeneb Mac OS X 10.5.8 and install Chameleon and see if that works

  • @duminny66 EasyBCD install in Windows not in OSX , yes you need a boot loader for OSX otherwise wont boot

  • at 2:00 thats where my mac boot fails. It shows a bunch of loading commands, goes blank, then doesn't show an apple screen. it just goes blank. Do you know what the problem is?

  • you have to search if your hardware is compatible , if so , you need the right Drivers(kexts) in order to boot :)

  • @chefedogang is there anyway of knowing what the recommended specs are?

  • yep , search for hackintosh compatibility list , you may find it in my blog , click hackintosh category and search , there are new lists now with corei7 and corei5 , but about that I do not know

  • @chefedogang thanks man. i'll check it out

  • did you install chameleon with osx? can we install osx without chameleon, then boot into windows 7 and use easybcd?

  • Yes I did.

Yes you can , but OSX need always a bootloader , Chameleon , PC EFI , or Boothink .

  • I see. When I installed chameleon, my windows 7 bootloader was overwritten... Did this happen to you? I have to put in my windows 7 disk and reinstall it now..

  • I did install OSX first with chameleon , 2nd Windows and easyBCD.

  • hello, do you make an entry of mac then install mac osx?

  • OSX was already installed .

  • @nazqasim

You can't make boot entry for something that isn't there yet.

  • what about the partitions order, I left partition 1 Mac OS and second partition Windows . and after using Easy BCD and restarting the computer when I select Mac OS it lists the volumes available (partitions) and I have to manually select to which partition I want to Mac Os to boot from... any Ideas on how to set Mac OS to boot up automatically into the right partition?

  • I did the same order you done , after OSX is working install windows , windows will be the active partition so EASYBCD will work as a boot selector , what I did is in the video .

I do not know what bootloader you use for OSX

  • how did u intall mac os x first? what did u do so the pc would see the mac os x disc?

  • @audreydaisyiris

Did a normal install (ipc) , EASYBCD will see it : )

  • Can u help me?

I already installed the Mac OSX after installing Windows 7. I've made exactly what you do in the video. But after 2:10 of your video, appears a message for rebooting the system.

    What am I doing wrong?

    Sorry for the bad english.

  • Hi ,

first I did it the other way first install OSX and check if it works .

    then install 7 , install easyBCD .

it seems your osx do not boot , easybcd is working fine I guess ...

try start osx with: -v -x
