Great run. One thing you should know ( and this can save about ten minutes) you don't need the Sliph scope. Just buy a poke doll from the Department store and throw it at marowak. The game proceeds as if it was a usual pokemon and it goes to the afterlife! Nothing happens... No sequence break from not fighting giovanni or anything. Brought my time from 3 hours to about 2:50(with a number of other mistakes)

To all those that don't understand Fissure mechanics and think this is "fake"....

In RBY, OHKO moves are 100% accurate if:

1) You use X Accuracy

2) You are faster than your opponent(This is why he also uses X Speed)

If you are slower than your opponent, your OHKOs will never work, even with X Accuracy. You will get the "unaffected" message every time against a faster opponent.

I hope people realize this wasn't cheating just a lot of luck. He saved his game before every battle so he could try as many times as he needed. X Accuracy doesn't make Fissure 99%, you still need tons of luck to hit 5 times in a row.

Valientlink I don't have the answer to that question of world record for single segment.

But I myself did a single segment completion on blue in one sitting with zero saves in 3hours and 2min. This was only my 2nd attempt at it. I made a couple mistakes that i could improve on. I could see it being done in 2 hours and 40min maybe quicker with some luck.

This poster didn't need to cut up the 2nd cave since u can buy repels in cerulean city. Thats wat i did on my single segment run.
