  • Mannix ALWAYS knew what was hip and what was not. Check out early Neil Diamond on the show as well...

  • 5:11 to 5:16

  • Tom Skerritt is cool!

  • Love the groovy dancing!I love watching psychedelic nightclub scenes from old 60's and seventies programmes and movies fire up the delorean take me back to 68 man!

  • Tom Skerritt...

  • I had forgotten how cool it was when the squares came on before the commercial... thanks for posting this! Beats the crap out of "Friends" reruns... :)

  • fantastic...Neil and Stills jammin on Bluebird.......Furay sounds great....great stuff......best band of all time...

  • Great! Thanks for posting.

  • "Give me about 35 cents worth of apple strudel..."

sheesh Mannix, could you get any more square?

  • @misterobvious I tend to think that that was one of TV's greatest lines ! '35 cents worth of apple strudel." Hilarious.

  • Great guitar work by Neil. I have to disagree with whoever said this didn't sound good!!! This sounds great and it's freakin live!!!!!

  • WOW, This is way before TV Land turned to SHIT!

  • i got knocked back from the 'lost dimension' about 40 year ago, "sorry mate no tie no entry...."

  • Neil Young - biggest star in the room in a few years

  • And they're doing it live. Bravo!

  • I think the band looks cool, sounds good, and fits the mood of the scene. Love the guitar work here !

  • Oh man this is really funny. TV needs to cast some "hippies" and the local rock group fills in - only in retrospect we know the hippies are MUSICAL GIANTS.

  • wow, an alternate version of Bluebird..very nice, thanks for this clip! And TV land too hahah

  • Why is that dancer wearing a tablecloth?

  • @jordar97

    lolool

  • HIPPIE-LAND -- IS WHERE I'M FROM !! --- WE USED TO CALL IT HASHBURY !!

  • THIS IS HOT STUFF 0-0-0- CANT GET ENOUGH --- GO MAN GO !!

  • I hope they don't spike his coffee with LSD!

  • The recording is pretty crappy, but it's actually pretty cool. I was expecting just the album tracks, but it's actually been re-recorded. Love the guitar solos. It's quite a bit different, in a good, interesting way. Gives some idea of what a live performance would sound like.

  • 15 cent coffee, ha!

  • Great band and all, but they sounds like hell here.

  • Thanks for posting this.

  • Peggy was HOT!

  • I remember Mannix drove a Barracuda in his show..that's Tom Skerritt talking with Mannix in the clip.

  • @Raxman263

This clip was from season 1 when Mannix was still with Intertect and drove a customised Oldsmobile Toronado convertible.

  • I agree with Pete Townshend, it doesn't ruin it one bit for me to hear some great piece of music in a commercial or on a program like this. Groovy music was everywhere back then, and it was all part of the movement. But then, there are some people who will piss and moan about anything in their politically correct way---

  • I'm just glad this exists at all. Buffalo Springfield footage is rare.

  • incredible sell out. can't believe they sold For what it's worth to an episode of Mannix... hard to believe.

  • Hopefully this will stay on YouTube for a while. Nice seeing this again.

  • .....i'm there.

    pce

  • so Buffalo Springfield sold out to "the establishment" way back when lol

  • @RecklessAbandoner1 Sold out? Man, these guys were the establishment!

  • i remember seeing this when i was 10

So it was really broadcast (my babysitter from hippie-land didn't drug after all)

  • Groovy man groovy

  • the reporter is Tom Skerrit!

  • Wow, they sound like hell.
