My hometown too -I had Richard Kasso's mother for homeroom and english while she was pregnant with him. What a nice lady -I remember his father too -kind of intense - There was a huge drug problem in NOrthport - but there was no cult- they obviously took too much acid -Northport was a beautiful place to grow up -the media still hones in on this nonsense to sell their news - guess people are still buying it - what a shame.

As a Northport resident, i know that the Woods where this ocurred still do exist, though a great portion was destroyed to make way for the "Whispering Fields" and "Bayview Condo" developments. no the book is not true to fact.this was a guy who did some researce on the murder and put out a book as he thought it might have gone down.the only people who know how this went down are the 2 people who were there at the murder and are still alive.i am still in touch with 1 of the people who was there when gary was killed and he doesnt talk about it much.
