Easy answer. GWM is really good, but he has a fatal drawback. He can't block. So that's what makes him playable as a secret character. Matter of fact, all the secret characters in the arcade version are tourney viable.

Absolutely. There's ways of exploiting GWM's inability to block. A Duo Team Attack for instance can rape GWM.

Don't get me wrong, he's a top tier character, but he's not unbeatable. Back in the golden days of this game, a lot of the top players used the secret characters like GWM, and Red Venom (who has an infinite but takes damage like a starving Ethopian child who has AIDS and Malaria at the same time)

At SRK Arturo recently said that Wong beat him in a 1st to 10 by 10-7. Rob Aponte plays all the time on GGPO (BobbyPiggo) and I'm sure he will tell you that Mag is better than him. 2 out of 4 already. So give credit where credit is due.

Also keep in mind that online gaming is NOT the same as playing in person - different controls, less lag, etc. Rob is also out of practice, he hasn't faced anyone good in ages, while this kid obviously seems to play every day. Your argument is a bad one.

Wong beat Arturo OFFLINE. Since Wong is the better player now, he faced Magneto OFFLINE and lost. We know that today Mag > Wong OFFLINE and that today Wong > Arturo OFFLINE. If you want to put a grand on arturo be my guest. I read he is having some trouble getting backers for the MM, so you would help him out a lot.
