My computer does not have bluetooth, but Motorola did send me the USB transfer cable for the phone. However, I don't see the phone listed as a storage device in Windows, how do I get pictures off it?

You continually say "to transfer music and picture files", but the Rival CAN NOT RECEIVE .mp3/.m4a/.aac......any type of music file except for .qcp, for the voice recorder. Verizon has the software setup so that when you try to send a sound file thru bluetooth, it claims "file type not recognized." Of course, if you send it through MMS, it works fine. Because it makes Verizon money. But it doesn't support anything over 500KB, which sucks. Any idea how to do THAT?

Don't get it!!!!! I can't stand this phone. Freezes up constantly, both me and a friend have one, and we each are on our second phone since August (this is Feb.2, 2010). Mine froze up 15 days after purchase, couldn't re-program, send/receive calls, sms, mms, anything. It became useless. Don't go for something cheap like I did. Buy something good!!!!
Maybe so. Guess everybody's in Arkansas went to crap. My dad's got the same one and his hasn't yet, but he only uses it for a phone, no video, music, txt, anything. Who knows?
I've seemingly been lucky enough to get those with bugs. My last phone, a Nokia 6255i, was much better, but gigantic and extremely heavy. Google it, and you'll know what I'm talking about. It was a great phone though. Lasted for 7 yrs, still works, dropped off the back of a Harley, dirtbike, out of a truck, and into the tub. Wish I still could use it.

Probably, only Microsoft paid for the repairs on the 360, where I was just lucky the Rival was in the 30 day return period.
