Jeez people are ignorant, this starts as an exact copy of Menuet in G from the notebook for Anna Magdelana, then it varies into an original composition that is similiar to Pachabel's Cannon in D but has a different chord progression and definately has a different melody.

its not Bach. its a piece specially composed for this video. it couldnt be Bach, anyways, coz this is a synthesised techno piece, and they didnt have synthesisers in Bach's time.....

It IS a variation on Bach's Minuet in G. It was written by Jeff Lynn of ELO fame. He did most of the music for the movie. It begins as minuet in G does but moves on into the variation for cello and synth.

Reminds me of youth right around the time I first touched a computer been well over 20 years now and the journey I have taken since that time. Love was all that the computer didn't understand and finally he did...that's all that's really important, too me anyway..love that is. I think I will watch this movie again this rainy afternoon for the upteenth time. Together in Electric Dreams always.

No doubt this is one of the lovely best songs of the movie if not of the 8O,s  . With all respect to Jebby16 I would like to make a correction ; the song is Canon by Pachebel and not Bach as you said . Anyway lovely songs with beautiful memories . I was around sixteen when I saw this movie and I had a mad crush on Virginia. I believe this song is "Canon" by Bach but not sure. By the way, I think the title should be Duet and not duel since two instruments are playing together rather than against each other....thanks for the awesome memories.
