@tylerartrip I can't find the video, but the most likely thing is that the big octo was already up. during the poping up from the water animation and a few seconds after, he can't suck you up, which gives you just enough time to boost past. But if he's already up then he'll instantly get you when you're near him
I can't figure out how to exit the swamp afterwards. :/ If we could get up to the song of soaring stone without going to the deku palace we could get the song of soaring and then die to start back at the entrance.
@ShayminLord789 I've done it before. you have to lure a dragonfly to the ledge outside woodfall temple area and then drown and get boosted by the dragonfly to get back past the same octo just the other way round. I could upload a video but I'm too lazy

I don't see what is usefull in this glitch. I mean, when you enter the deku palace, you just can get the magic beans, you can't use them as a deku. You don't have the ocarina and not the deku mask. So, what can you do earlier except the magic beans?
@GiantsMask with this you can get song of soaring in the 1st cycle. This helps in game time speedruns. these aim to complete the game with the lowest in-game time. so the first cycle alone costs 3 whole days and theres not much you can do. getting song of soaring here basicly means that we can speed up the run later with early owl statue warps. :)
no, it's a bit to-do with luck manipulation.. but I'm sure it's possible non-TAS maybe even without pause buffer but the time it would take to FINALLY get it, you wouldent be able to use it in a speed run.

I've gotten it to work on the console BARELY. It requires a lot of manipulation and positioning.
