This is kinda off-topic, but...did SEGA rip off Nightmare's design when they made Wizeman in NiGHTS into Dreams(1996) and wasn't Kirby's Adventure released in 1993? And in Hoshi no Kaabii he said "True to my name, I am but a dream that lives in your heart. Therefore, I am immortal. For as long as there is fear in your heart, I will someday return." and Wizeman said " As long as there is darkness in the hearts of humans, I and the nightmarens, will never disappear" in JoD...coincidence?

@GallantChaddymon You DO know I didn't say that Mario was the first kart racing game of anything of that matter, it's just that Sonic and SEGA-All Stars Racing and its items are very similar to the Mario Kart ones. No, Crash wasn't first. Super Mario Kart for the SNES was released 1992, which was before any Crash Kart game. Get your facts straight, please.

@Rougebat12 I wouldn't say they ripped off the design. It's more of a coincidence. During the console wars of the 90s they did take a lot of elements from Nintendo's games though such as the Mario-like boss in Alex Kidd.
