I just got to say the kitchen thing is correct but at the same time who dumps out a container full of dust dirt and debris like that. I take mine outside and dump it and the garbage. That would be like me demonstrating a Oreck bags as messy by ripping the bag out of it without taking my time and letting dust got everywhere. I take my time and that means I don't have to pay for bags that cost of fortune over time.
Oreck is what you buy to gift to your great grand parents.... no shit it works but it also look like shit. Why would you want to trade a Ferrari for an old Lincoln ? Go talk to your shrink about your backward thinkings.
I have owned a Dyson for 7 years and it is simply the best. I do dump it in my kitchen trash and it is not a problem. No bags or problems. We have a golden retriever and the Dyson cleans very well.
@KirbyIs4Real I'm sure the price difference will steer everyone towards the Orek or Dyson since both are 1/3 the price of the kirby. So not worth it to 90% of the population.
Yes i agree with this video.. Dyson are a very expenseve for what they are. Made out of cheap plastic, and the performance is not much better than a really cheap vacuum. People go for looks with the dyson, and its just a big brand name thats all.. Dont believe the hype..........plus bagged vacuums are a lot better than baggles ones
Hmm... Have you even opened up the motor of an Oreck Mr. Oreck guy? Have you noticed its fan? And how small it is? One time when I was younger my mom and I went to a vacuum store and they warned us NOT to buy an Oreck because of the fan size (creates little to no suction) so have numerous other people and companies. Dysons work great, and Orecks only have HEPA filtration if you buy the special, more expensive bags.
a guy at the local oreck store did this for us live, and yes oreck did alittle better....but oreck was brand new and best one they had, dyson was 5 years old and by the looks of it its been used for all 5 years pretty hard, and also it wasnt top of the line
I have a Kirby...and a dyson....I use my dyson more its simple to clean. The Kirby has the added features no one else has but the dyson is just so easy to keep clean. pull the tub go outside press the lever, your done. every standard vacuum no matter how great puts dust in the air when you change the bag.
@bobcat101100 yea but the problem is its too much money and a bagless is cheaper. and an oreck cost over 600 dollars and u dont dump the cup inside. u dump it outside
@bobcat101100 I have a Dyson and it has more suction than any vacuum I've had for a while and it doesn't lose suction. I also have wished I thought about Riccars, Sebos, and Mieles 2 years ago.
@TuckLikesFire I have the DC17 animal and we replaced the belt I don't know how many months ago it was but I tried the vacuum after I replaced the belt and the rollerbrush spun for like 2 seconds then shut off. In my own opinion bagless is unhealthy for you. Bagged vacuums like the new one I got are much healthier because they keep the dust in better.
@zunehdrocks Yeah I know.I was trying to make a point about the Consumer reporter.ALL of his videos are rigged!!! The Dyson didnt have its hepa filter in for his video. The Oreck didnt have its foam motor case filter in.Dont listen to him!! The newer XL Platinum vacs have very nice sealed gaskets on the floor plate and thick foam motor filters all thru the housing for carbon dust. They have excellent filtration with there thick cloth hepa carbon bages. They do perform excellent on carpet.Dont hate
When i saw this video a year or two ago i was skeptical of it, now that i own a used Oreck XL21 and have tried the dyson DC07,14,17,23 and 24 i am no longer in doubt of it, yes there are better alternatives to an oreck but an xl21 would definitely out clean a dyson on carpet
This seems to show how effectively the vacs pick up things sitting on the surface of the carpet, but doesn't go into any detail about suction power for small particles below the surface.
@Chris242tt British accent..Maylasia made vacuums...At least the American accent David Oreck's vacuums are built in America...He didnt crap on his own people and close up shop and move to Maylasia...Haha...He just talks funny I guess..Haha.
Dude american or not if it doesn't clean the house its not in the house LOL can't do your job for what you were bought for you don't belong in the house =\ if it falls apart all the time and doesn't clean the house much doesn't belong in the house american made or not, waste the owners budget i'm going to waste you right out to the curb in the trash where the dust in my house can laugh at you
Oreck bags cost $26-$35 for a package of eight bags. Each bag lasts for about 2 months. So, despite an initial seemingly high cost it is essentially like you are paying $1.80 per month on vacuum bags.
Oreck will not loss any noticable suction until the bag is mayby half full..Which will take a pretty long while. The bags are very big and are a nice thick hepa style bag that cleans the air better that the dyson will.Dyson is asthma/alergy rated because he pushed and paid for the test and advertisment..The oreck is every bit as clean air exhaust if not better that the dyson.Just saying..I do like dysons as much as anybody else but dont get caught up in all dyson advertisement. He's a sales guy to
@FeeLtheHertZ You cant fully seal the bottom of the dust bin on the Dyson either. It leaks.Over time it wears out quickly.Trust me,The Oreck filters the air Just as well or better than the Dyson.
What Dyson needs is: A more powerful motor and blade, and a sturdier powerhead brush. However. Electrolux is possibly the best because the bags are disposable and don't release any dust when you take it out of the machine.
Better get your facts straight! It has a washable pre-hepa filter, the Hepa never needs to be washed or replaced because they are the only vacuum that cleans the air of all "dirt" BEFORE it goes to the Hepa. They are the only vacuum that are asthma allergy rated by the AA society of Canada. Orek will lose suction after minutes, Dyson will not! How much are those Orek bags?? hmmmm And they are serviceable, just not from his store.... Also, the profit is lower selling Dyson, so he sells Orek
I just got to say the kitchen thing is correct but at the same time who dumps out a container full of dust dirt and debris like that. I take mine outside and dump it and the garbage.
