@josephem Best bet is to go to a music store and look for a "Real Book"; it will have chord progressions for this and many other jazz standards. It's much easier to see it on sheet paper than to try to write it down in a youtube comment!
@NextLifeDub Really? This song is a bit bland, in my opinion. It's fun to have a jam with because it's a simple standard. But as far as the song itself goes, its just a II V I , with the melody descending down the C natural minor scale. Nothing too interesting.
@Grimmjow567 that is what i like about it... complexity is not what makes a song good... i really enjoy the ease in which the chords change.. also the bridge section is really cool with the ii-Vi and then the trtone sub of to lead right back into the ii-Vi-i... its a really sick key change and i love it
@Grimmjow567 Complexity isn't necessary for a good tune. I mean, don't get me wrong, I love complexity, but look at William Byrd. He wrote The Bells, one of the most famous Renaissance works, with just a simple V-I progression.

Can anyone help me figure out the chord progressions? I'd like to learn the musicality and not just be able to play by ear!

@Sunderlanding Actually, the correct word is "piece."

@asdurrett9 As in: "You're a piece of shit."? Just joking.

gnufender 4 months ago
@gnufender yes there is. it is a one bar ii-V that lands on C minor that then goes into a ii-V-i in the key of Eb major. go look again :D
