The fight and the depth behind it is great, but the movement seems almost lagging and facial expressions are extremely crude in comparison to the other episodes. I dunno, if they were to ever remake an episode of SamCham, it hoped it'd be this one.
@goishimoishi16 honestly i think this fight against sara is the only fight that mugen actually fought with the intent of fighting honorably and with a lot of respect for the opponent, you can see it in the drawing style and how they made his face a little more human, probably also why he is shown to at a such a disadvantage in the fight because he has no mental edge and his emotions are getting the way
see if Mugen would have kept on training on the style that Shouryuu was using, the energy bending/magic he would have been able to beat her without her giving up. I know he didn't learn Shouryuu's style but he was able to do that same attack, it would have been cool if he had been practicing it throughout the series. Shouryuu was one of my favorite opponents. I know she would have been able to sense the energy but even blocking those attacks causes harm to the receiver.
Remember in the last episode his fighting style is cramped because he was confined to small spaces and he was wounded fighting an opponent with a much wider range. Here, he has space... but his bizarre movements mean little to someone who is eye-blind, just like how Kamiya never "appeared" to be looking and merely counteracted everything Mugen threw at him.
And Jin just got flat-out owned... he was in a confined space AND he had no bearing on how skilled his opponent was, plus he was using a sword against a freaking trident/lance/spear... Sara may be the strongest opponent, sure, Kamiya took Mugen and Jin on and beat them; but Jin eventually BEAT him. They NEVER beat Sara. Symbolically, there was a chance to beat Kamiya which he admitted to Jin. Sara, on the other hand, only let Mugen win.
I think that Sara is the best fighter in Samurai Champloo. Jin couldn't even touch her compared to the Divine Hand who he killed in the second match but had to be attacked.
@MasterEggnut We can't really know, though. Jin may have figured out how to beat her. Besides, the Divine Hand seemed much stronger. It was just because Jin and Mugen weren't used to this sort of weapon, whereas the Divine Hand has probably studied her already if he's working for the same people.

Kariya fought BOTH guys together with little trouble and he seemed to be a master of KI which Sara never displayed.
