Yeah true, after all the temps on the top of CPU coolers are bound to be far lower than that of the actual core temp, because it is the furthest away from the CPU and also the case is open therefore dissipating the heat far quicker.

I believe the Core 2 Extreme QX9775 is the fastest CPU you can get for that particular motherboard, as it uses two LGA-771 sockets instead of LGA-775. If you can wait about three more months that would be great. Cuz Intel is designing a new Skulltrail with two LGA-1366 sockets!!! Then you should get two Core i7 960 Extreme Edition CPUs. Help any?
