I think the reason why a lot of people like this version is b/c you actually have the singer playing an instrument WHILE singing, and often they invite their fans to sing along. One of the great things One Republic and other artists do well is they improvise and actually cater to their fans in their performances. Adele for what she has done so far, sings by herself and granted she can carry it ALL BY HERSELF, sometimes the whole point of a live concert is to be included in the performance. : )

You can prefer OneRepublic's version, but you have to give credit to Adele as the songwriter. Adele is still my fave version. Actually, I very much prefer David Cook, Linkin Park, John Legend and Go Radio versions to this (OneRepublic) version.
