in that sense a lot more allied soldiers died then Japs and Germans combined your statement that the allies "kicked their asses" so to speak is wrong they fought a long and bloody war people like Churchill and Patton had quite some other opinions big talk at first but when they met them came with quotes like these

the Luftwaffe had more Aces and kill ratio then the allies, even manged to stop the bombing campaign for almost a year
hitler constantly made crazy orders. almost every weapon the germans had was way ahead of its time. infact we use most of today. smart bombs, flying wing, radar, missles, ejection seats, pressureized cockpits, the list goe's on & on.but,still with all these advantages they had we still won. it came at a heavy price but our record speaks for it's self. btw the way i make my living by reserching & building luftwaffe models for musieums around the world. so i do know a little bit about them.
i don't hold anything against our enemies during W.W.2. all sides fought with with honor. we all lost & we all won.all sides did the best they could at that time. but i believe german hi command caused the loss of the war. i also think hitler invaded to many countries to soon. if he would have slowed down a little & didn't have so many fronts to battle at once he would have eventualy won all of europe. to much to soon cost them dearly. all sides lost alot of good honorable brave men HEROS.
we still won at over whelming odds. by just pure determanation & heart.. but, germanys drug addicted head of the luftwaffe lost the war by not allowing them to make 4 engine long range bombers & by insisting that they also make they make them dive bombers. even hitler himself screwed up some of there most advancded aircraft. like refusing to let only about 50 me 262's be a fighter plane like they were designed for. he insistened that they be used only as a bomber. he blew chance after chance.

Thanks for uploading, but the originaltitle of this Luftwaffe education movie wasn´t "Luftkampf" (Dogfight).
The title of this movie was "Jäger greifen an" (Hunters are attacking).
In German are fighters called "Hunters".
