  • I used to think when he sung the title, he was saying 'burn, burn sweet earth'

  • @NotMeAgainFFS don't fret , I sold the 12"

  • @NotMeAgainFFS I agree! It's one of the most important albums released in 1980 and one of the most influential released in the eighties!

  • @NotMeAgainFFS

    31 other people also think you are retarded. Result ? :}

  • total bliss

  • Everything of this song is great, i like the sound of the guitar !

  • this IS music

  • DARKNESS

  • PLEASE someone present me with a word that as succinctly indicates my complete disdain for everything the person I intend to insult is and stands for, in a relatively humorous way. I would replace 'retard' in a heartbeat.

Believe the following, or don't. I think it attempts to divert the responsibility from a basic and largely unaddressed human error towards the only people trying to do something about the problem, but anyway...

  • "The terms used to describe this condition are subject to a process called the euphemism treadmill. This means that whatever term is chosen for this condition, it eventually becomes perceived as an insult. The terms mental retardation and mentally retarded were invented in the middle of the 20th century to replace the previous set of terms, which were deemed to have become offensive. By the end of the 20th century, these terms themselves have come to be widely seen as disparaging" -Wikipedia

  • Requiem, is that a killing joke, HAHAHAHAHAHA......

  • I fucking love this ;P

  • @NotMeAgainFFS I know this is all lighthearted and all, but the term 'retarded' is to be avoided in my opinion, as it is still a medical description of a kind of a real mental problem which many people get bullied for. I assume you didn't know, and expect many "You can't say anything these days" type comments, but some terms can cause real pain to some.

  • I wish my headphones could go louder

  • Thanks for sharing!

  • FUCK YEAH KILLING JOKE. I had a tear when i got a ticket to see them next year.

  • This album was such a classic and set the stage for many other bands to follow.

  • Hearing this again for the first time in way too many years, still blows me away...

  • @NotMeAgainFFS well, go get another one, it's not the end of the world ;)

  • @runninlikehell Doubt it was the CD he sold....

  • LONDON LYCEUM 1982 (?) TOTALLY HYPNOTIC 1800+ PEOPLE DOWNSTAIRS SWEAT LEATHER, STUDS, TORN BONDAGE TOUSERS, CAN'T REMEMBER WALKING HOME. NOT THE GREATEST CONCERT I'VE BEEN TO AS THOSE WILL ALWAYS CHANGE BUT IT WILL ALWAYS BE AT NUMBER 3

  • One of the most innovative bands ever,My love of this astonishingly ahead of their time band goes back maybe further than most comments here, but fair play to anyone who for whatever reason discovers the only band who hold a candle to The Clash in my heart!!!

  • @NotMeAgainFFS buy it again, princess.

  • @NotMeAgainFFS same here....... shame on me

  • I was at Odissea 2001 on the eighties for a fantastic Killing Joke concert. Unforghettable

  • One of the most powerfull compositions ever written.

  • at NotMeAgain - so did I

  • WOLFMANS BROTHER!

  • What a fanTASTIC song. What a fanTASTIC band.

  • What a great album cover.

  • I had this single . Thought I'd have a clear out and threw my 7 " singles out!! Doh!! Also threw away a limited edition 7" Hendrix box set with it. FUCK MY LUCK!!!

  • @TheStreetster '_____'

  • I first heard Killing Joke in '94 - Millenium was on the radio. At first I thought it was Motorhead (sounded like Lemmy). When I found out who it was, I bought the Pandemonium CD - been a fan of them ever since. Sad thing is, I never listened to their back catalog until I a couple months before seeing them them live last year. I always thought their pre-Pandemonium music was like Pantera's pre-Cowboys From Hell...just not worth listening to. Damn, was I wrong! BTW, best concert ever!

  • Love like Blood, Eighties, and Requiem are my favorites.........as far as Killing Joke songs go.....They have many, many more minor hits as well~I will always love them~~~Jazz is the nicest, most down to earth guy I think I have ever met~ rock on KJ

  • @killerbacteria1 This album is absolutely ahead of it's time. It's fantastic. The "Turn To Red" Ep is also brilliant, as it has "Are You Receiving" on. My dad had a version of the EP called "Almost Red" which had a bonus track on. Worth a listen!!

  • Superb song.

  • I first heard Requiem playing loud in a large record store in Oxford Street (Virgin? HMV?) in 1980 and loved it so much I hunted down the member of staff responsible to ask who the band was and bought the 12 inch.

  • Only a hint of religion

    Uncensors to its false depravity

    The sound of breaking glass

    This is a reflection

    The requiem
