My apologies to you. This may give temporary relief but it won't kill the cold virus. I did try this more than once but it caused me to have a sneezing fit. I recently tried drinking really strong ginger tea and this DID help. don't ask me how, it just did.
@MJJSpokesman In light of how many people it works for, you may want to try it more than once. I would do it every 10 minutes for an hour, if I didn't get relief.
Thanks so much for this technique! You mentioned that Saline is toxic to the Rhino virus, so have you ever thought about using a Neti pot to flush your sinuses with Saline? I flush mine out when I start sneezing alot, and I make my own saline. i always breathe so much better afterwards, and you flush out all the gunk instead of inhaling it. So sorry to hear about Lola, may she RIP. I hope you dug up or burned that damn Palm tree so it doesn't happen again. Take care! =)
@Nightbird You are welcome! I don't have to use a Neti pot since this does the trick! As far a Layla, I replaced her with a dog that doesn't eat palm nuts-- her sister!
how many times do u do that? i'm curious because right now i have a cold. i've had it for about 2 days now. it's really frusterating me because i can't breath...
Seldom do I have to do it more than once. But, on the occassion it didn't work the first time, I would try at least once every 15 minutes. When it works, it works right away.
This video is dedicated to Layla the Wonder Dog who is featured on the couch with me (she growls throughout the video). Layla passed away at 1345 EST, on Saturday, March 29th, due to a bowel obstruction caused by a nut from a Queen palm tree. Layla was a pure white minitature schnauzer. She was fifteen months old and the light of our lives. May she rest in peace...
er......i believe you're just getting the rhinovirus deeper into your respiartory tract. If you want to get it out, why dont you just blow it OUT OF YOUR BODY???
As you know, blowing does not remove the rhinovirus from the nasal cavity due to the lack of force. The shape of the diaphram causes greater force to be created in the nasal cavity by sniffing rather than blowing. Besides, the rhinovirus would die in the lungs anyway since saline is toxic to the rhinovirus wich is why we do not get colds in our eyes. The rhinovirus has to be in the nasal cavity to cause the body to react with the symptoms of the common cold.
The virus doesn't grow well at normal body temperature and above. Your sinuses are cooler than your lungs, being closer to the outside of your body, and are cooled by incoming fresh air
this guy must make some interesting faces when snorting coke.
