The Rusyns, or Carpatho-Rusyns, are an Eastern Slavic ethnic group who speak an Eastern Slavic language or dialect known as Rusyn or Lemko. Andy Warhol's parents were Rusyns. According to Warhol the beginning of The Deer Hunter shows an authentic Rusyn wedding, although the movie was about Orthodox Rusyns.
