@iamLPfan1 I depends where you leave from. We left from the parking lot near the rope-way and souvenir shops so it took about 15-20 minutes to get to the upper section were you can go left for another 10 minutes to the volcano or right, like we did, for 15 min to a ridge overlooking a valley. I have hiked a different route on the other side of the volcano that was about 1 hour 15 minutes one-way. There are so many options to choose from.

At the end of the vid (around 2:35)there was a lot of green moss on the rocks and pretty much everywhere, which would make me think that it was a little warm there and that there was some moisture in the air too, and closer to where those gasses were coming from the ground looked dark....like burnt, but old burnt, kinda makin me think that it was a lot more hotter and drier by that part... Sweet view though, Japan has some pretty sweet places/great views!!
