Its an OLED screen so while it may be a bit smaller, it sure as hell will be brighter, with better colors and much crisper. And with Tegra, it should look flat out awesome.

Yeah, I wont argue it will look extremely impressive but I can't imagine surfing the web on a screen that small or anything similar like i can do on my ipod touch.

Don't get me wrong the technology is impressive but IMO the screen size is what's letting it down. If they wanted this to be a true HD device they should of had a 720p display on the device and a screen that was atleast the size of the ipod touch.

Well, the screen is the same height, it's just not as wide. That's because it's much higher resolution (16:9 rather than 4:3).

It's like complaining that your HDTV isn't as tall as your old SD set.

exactly, so for movies that are natively in 16:9 apect ratio, you wont be able to notice the difference because the ipod touch would have black bars negating the extra screen size.

This is not hardware. It's a prototype phone. NVIDIA isnt making a phone.. it's the processor chip. It can be used in any phone. Apple can very well use this in their next gen iphone.

nvidia tegra platforms are only opensource with opencl and opengl es 2.0 that is apple and htc can support it. it might be available for the next iphone or Android. NVIDIA license opengl es platform is the same platform use on the ps3 that microsoft can't support it.

I dont really know what you are saying in that last sentence but from how I interpret it you are saying that microsoft mobile cant support the nvidia tegra SoC? if thats what you are saying you are wrong, in fact the first phones that will come out with this featured tech are Windows Mobile phones followed by Android. Since the begining nvidia has been working with Microsoft regarding the tegra SoC. tegra will be on android as well. there is no mention yet of any tegra/apple device in the works.

Microsoft already does support OpenGL ES, that's why you can run 3d games on Windows Mobile, they don't have DirectX on their mobiles. You can even use/play OpenGL Apps and games on Windows Vista with no additional downloads. I think your getting the fact that the Xbox 360 is DirectX based confused somehow.

You geniuses do realize that NVidia makes the graphics chips in all Apple's laptops, don't you? That means they have a relationship with NVidia, and if this chip beats what they were planning to use in the iPhone and is the right price, they will use it. Also, a powerful chip doesn't have much use in phone if the software sucks. No phone will challenge the iPhone without vastly improved software. Android is the only hope for the rest of the cell phone industry.

They don't have a "relationship" with nVidia at all, they have a business deal to keep their iPhones supplied with a certain kind of chip. They would have to negotiate a new deal, and if nVidia are planning their own phone they will not play with apple. Also "sucks" is not a definitive quantifier for software, as it is an opinion not a fact. Due to the iPhone's lack of openness and apple screwing developers it wouldn't be hard for them to jump ship to another platform.

Your point is moot for two reasons. First, it became clear recently that Apple intends to continue to license Imagination Technologies GPU designs for use in the iPhone. Secondly, we're talking about a GPU, and with the advent of OpenCL, the interface to GPUs will have a consistent abstraction layer, so if it made sense for Apple to go with nVidia in the future, it would not be a hurdle to do so. Apple's current roadmap is clearly to build the features they need into self-designed silicon.
