In the the and manga series the only thing that made him look different was his tail. He has no tail in this movie, so they made him white. That... only makes sense.

i hope that a true fan with the resources watches the movie. goes home get a bunch of his friends together and redoes this movie the way it was supposed to bee done. and that would mean not screwing up character designs or screwing with the origin story. i mean how hard is it to glue on a fake mustache and spray a guy green. how difficult is it to stick (at least loosely) to the original story line.

i don't think its gonna make a joke of dragonball its a legend program in the modern day and things have to be changed and i like most of the changes but i am halfie with piccolo because i would prefer him to be greener with his original cape but since i love dragonball so much i am going to watch the movie and enjoy because the cartoon was such a success and that piccolo and the other changes in the movie might be better than i expected

the cape doesn't kick in until piccolo jr. is born. they actualy gave king/lord piccolo a cooler outfit so that's a plus! i agree it is a modern adaptation so a few changes are ok, especially if it's true that the swan style(Tien)is hinted along with Krillen's clan. that would set up the Z fighters for the sequel!
