  • how does it go on hard wood but??

  • Awesome

  • WEAK

  • Outstanding!

  • Awesome. Did you have plans/blueprints?

  • where did you find that hydralic saw drive unit or what are they call

  • Nothing short of amazing.

  • DO WANT!!!

  • I 2nd that comment...THAT'S BADASS!!!

  • thats bad ass!!!

  • Fantastic bit of homebuilt kit. Very fast splitting action, well done. Is there any photo's of the build to have a look at?

  • This beats my ax anyday were can i get one

  • That is an awesome bit of DIY!

  • very nice machine

  • This was when we first finishes it, so it was limited to one trunk that gets lifted up with a backhoe w/ a thumb. Now he has built a live deck for it, so you can load 4-5 logs that will get chain fed into the infeed. Once we fire the machine up again, I will be putting a more current video up

  • I love to see how far people will go to avoid swinging an axe.

I may be an axe-swinger myself but this is a fantastic bit of kit. Brilliant.

Am I right in thinking it's limited to a single trunk unless you have lifting gear or a few strong friends standing around? It looks like you'd have to lift it up to about 4 feet high to get onto the infeed.

  • How much to build me one just like it? I'm a serious buyer!

  • Nice bit of kit you sure know your stuff!!!!

  • Cool machine ... :-)

  • That machine is Bad Ass!!! I want one! :-)

  • HOMEMADE MY ASS

  • to slow

  • @ tdurre3 The main ram is a 5" bore.

  • What bore is the main ram?

  • On this machine there are actually 3 single stage pumps, gear driven off the crank, separated by a clutch so you can disengage the pumps if you need to. Each pump is the same, putting out 49 GPM at 1800 psi. We can run a little more psi, 2000 psi, but it has plenty of power at 1800 psi and it is easier on parts.

  • What kind of volume and pressure does the pump put out? Awesome build!!!

  • AWSOMEEEEEEEEE

  • No mistaking that Detroit Diesel - Loud.

  • now that's just lazy haha but nice

  • The log in this video is oak that is still pretty green. I will make a better video showing its current form and all the functions when we start splitting in the next month or so.

  • That splitter is awesome!

  • make a video with it doing some work

  • wow great job.

  • Wet or dry wood?

  • Badass!!!

  • Thats cheating...

  • Great machine

  • great job, thats awesome

  • Nice..

  • NICE JOB! That's more useful the other machines which can you buy it..Really GREAT JOB!

  • The wedge was 7 pieces of high carbon steel, with the edge machined sharp. The pieces were then fitted and mig welded together to make a one piece wedge. Thank you for all the comments!

  • @nate1590 nice! a lot of tonnage needed. what force does your ram output??

  • how did you make the 8 way wedge??? that looks incredible

  • That's thing is sick!!!

  • sick!

  • what is the price tag on this machine..... I could stock pile some wood with that!!! Awesome!!!!

  • That looks like fun. Great back saver. Although with the energy used to power it you could heat a house for a week. Heheh.

  • wwwwwwwwwwwwwwwoooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooowwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww that is COOL

  • I WONT IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • I have some trees in the back of my lot I need split up.. What does it take to build one of those?? Nice job!!

  • is the saw blade hydraulic?

  • Wouldnt wanna fall into that splitter.Even my incredible bench press wouldnt save my ass lol. But wat a machine though, i could play with that all day. Well done!

  • what rpm does the saw work at

  • if this is homemade you are quite the craftsman bravo!

  • One word AWESOME!!

  • that bar has too much travel. Can increase output simply by regulating how far the bar retracts based on log in cradle.

  • i could chop faster with my hand.

  • @kenfo0 no you could not. you are a troll. i read your comments on other videos and you are a weasel. i am giving you a thumbs down. please post a video of your wood processor.

  • @emigrantgap LOL. If I am a troll, that makes you the dumbest son of a bitch on the planet for replying. Nah, you're just a stupid, whiny, effeminate, trolling canadian malcontent. I read your comments on other videos and you are a weasel....afraid of ladders? what a fag. I am giving you a thumbs down. please post a video of your wood processor.

  • What an awsome machine

  • the bar is a 35 inch bar made by oregon

  • Cool machine. Is it a homemade saw bar or is it something somone sells ?

  • Amazing piece of machinery! Wish I had one of those!!

  • thats pretty impressive

  • This took about a year of nights and weekends to build

  • @nate1590 I'm sure it was worth the effort.

    Amazing. Congrats!

  • that is way cool!
