they aren't emgs, their lace sensor, but if you wanted emgs at an affordable price you should have bought them like two years ago before every guitar player on the planet fell in love with active, and to be honest with you, emg doesn't even make the best active, duncan makes preety good ones and way cheaper, the fender lace sensors are really good too, but kind of pricey

I definitely prefer the lace sensors over the emg's, especially for bluesy songs like this..... the lace's have that smooth, round, bell sound that captures the emotion of playing
