holy crap so true! back in grades 5 and 6, my school banned marbles and pokemon cards because people were trading them, FOR FUN!! for christ's sake, whoever comes up with these laws probably has to look "Fun" up in a dictionary!

I am in grade 8 and me and a group of friends are using rubik's cubes and today the freaking vice principal came in and took them, i went and got it at the end of the day and he told me that he did not want me to have it in class, even during spare time, i have quite a few people who i have been teaching to solve them, and i think we might just start some sort of protest about it,

At my school we were banned from sliding on the ice. Why? Because the principal said it was like glass and would cut us.

In grade 1 we were banned from playing pretend star wars because someone might get hurt with imaginary light sabers.

I have seen many enjoyable activities be banned from schools, especially those directed towards boys (play fighting). It seems the whole education system is based upon those who were never kids.

i read that story in the news paper, it wasn't even a kid who got hurt but a parent! the government is so worried about kids being obese, but then they go ahead and ban the things that help and motivate kids to be active? there's no sense in it.

When I was in school I remember they banned our favourite game, "boys vs. girls". It was pretty much a variation on tackle football. One kid gets hurt and goes crying to the teacher over a bruise and they have to kill everyone's fun. It's so lame.

Things have gone downhill since I was at school, I remember twice in the same school term turning up on my doorstep after outdoor pursuits with the teacher and gravel embedded in my face. Both times required hospital treatment. My mums response? she told me to look where I was going and use my brain a bit more!

As a school student, I say .... RICK FOR PRIME MINISTER!!!!! The school system in a load of bear turds. My math teacher has repeatedly called students questions retarded and stupid. My elementary school did not allow kids to sit in or pick up snow. We were also not allowed to make forts and the such. And ya, we werent allowed certain types of balls either.
